iphone hater turned believer
so I was one of those people who hates the iphone when it first came out, but I decided to get one to sample the suckiness for myself.
I can say now that I was wrong! This thing is amazing! I didn't think I could live with out my Blackberry, but this thing can do anything the Curve can do and then some! From email to maps to call quality I just love this phone. The only negatives I see compared to the Curve is the lack of GPS capability. I'm sure Telenav will be compatible before too long.
Go get one all of you doubters, you won't regret it!

That is great to hear. The iphone is a great, one-of-a-kind phone. I wouldn't trade mine for any phone out on the market today. Most iphone haters hate the phone because they haven't tried one yet. Using a friends doesn't give you the same experience. Love mine as do all others I know who have one.

I have a medical supplies sales rep who calls on me once a week. He came in my office the day after the iphone came out and he had one. He was with VZW prior to that and he paid the ETF with them just so he could get the iphone. He uses that thing all day long, 5 days a week, and he absolutely loves it. He's had it for a couple weeks now, and he still can't stop raving about it. He let me mess around with it for a while. It is an awesome device, but I couldn't justify paying that much.

the way i look at it the price isn't that bad. the data plan is much cheaper than my blackberry's plan I estimated you could save 300 bucks a year using the iphone plan vs. the blackberry plan.
now comparing lets say the bb curve..I paid 320 for and that was with a 2yr plan.
A 4 gig ipod nano costs 200 dollars

bb curve + nano-520
just about the same.

I think you might have misunderstood me. I didn't mean to imply that it wasn't worth it's price. I simply meant that I personally couldn't justify spending $500 or $600 on a cell phone....no matter how cool it is. 😉

well my point was instead of buying a mp3 player and a phone..why not spend the same amount and buy it all at once..

Honestly, I don't know why anyone would buy a mp3 player nowadays. Even the "free" phones play music. Granted, the iphone does it much cooler, but for how much? My son has tons of music on his SE W300i they sound great.

well i personally like having a ipod because i find the players extremely easy to use; along with itunes.
Phone mp3 players imo still don't perform well enough to use as your main music source. Although i must say i do like sony ericssons walk man mp3 features ( I loved my se w810)

i have that phone, and it doesn't hold very many songs. maybe 20-25? as opposed to an ipod that holds 1000? yeah.

Never used it. I find a closer definition of the word putz are people that by a CELL PHONE for five or six hundred bucks, admit it STINKS AS A CELL PHONE....but still decide to keep it because Madison Avenue says it's what's hot.

Umm. This fellow who started the thread seems to genuinely like his iPhone. More than a few folks seem to concur. Your position (having never used the phone) is that they're all brainwashed and not justified in liking the iPhone?
