Why are VZ phones so f** ugly? I mean, they look like they should had been out like 2 years ago....
Because as mention in about 1 bajillion arguments, Verizon has the network, so they can be (somewhat) crappy on their phones and the features in them, and get away with it. Welcome to life (kick to the nutz)

My Nokia 6256 is basically a brick... but the voice quality an' reception are so good that you can have it when you pry my cold dead fingers offa it 😉
Far as 'cool' phones go, VZW seems to be gettin' more and more of 'em, so what's to cry about? (or 'aboot' like my Canadian friend says, lol)

why the haters? Verizon actually has a pretty good phone line up. Treo 700, lg8100/9800 the razor the new nav phone on mo325, even the sam950 isn't to bad. What the heck are they missing? The sidekick is the only thing I can think of?

Yup. Personally I thought the 'phone hatin' would stop once VZW got the RAZR (they even got the pink RAZR now, for godsakes) but I guess some folks will never stop hatin' on their lineup.
I'm sure VZW could give a rat's booty though. They're prolly sittin' their goin' (Dave Chappelle voice) "Two million net adds last quarter. Biatchhhhh!!!!" 🙂

They are behind on phones. But it seems it's all because of the network. They held on to CDMA while everyone else went with the rest of the world as it progressed to GSM (and now HSPDA or UTMS or whatever), yes they are moving along well with EVDO now, but towards what? Another network most of the world WON'T be employing? They don't have 1/4 of the selection cingular and T-mobile have due to this. Which is irritating. Granted though, if this competition was eliminated, I'm sure they would charge even more then they are now for their reliability. Yes I am a vzw customer, and love the service - but hate the limited selection. Yeah, they have the RAZR but that took them 2 years. The other companies are now giving them away! And VZWs isn't all ...
