I am very Impressed by Verizon Wireless in these 3 quarters of 2005

I wanted to say that because they need all the credit in the world for offering not so great products but the BEST NETWORK in the United States, however, I feel that without this BEST NETWORK they would be not gaining much because of that lacking of products. It also shows that Cingular continues to struggle well after the merger with Att Wireless and I think they are struggling for a few reasons and they are that 1. Their network is not very big and 2. Verizon and sprint are taking a lot of customers away from them. I do give kudos to Verizon for doing such a great job with marketing their differentiator and I am impressed with their great 1.9 million-subscriber growth for the past 2 quarters and in the first quarter with around 1.6 or s...

When do you think Verizon will pass Cingular for the #1 spot? If ever?

Total subscribers

49.3 million For Verizon

52.3 million For Cingular

(Both going into the 4th quarter)

------
Cingular
1st quarter= 1.4 million
2nd quarter= 1.07 million
3rd quarter= 867,000
Total going into quarter 4= 3.5 million

Average per quarter= 1.12 million

---------

Verizon=
1st quarter= 1.64 million
2nd quarter= 1.9 million
3rd quarter= 1.9 million
Total going into quarter 4= 5.44 million

Average per quarter= 1.813 million

----

So let us expect Cingular to get around 1 million subscribers in quarter 4 and Verizon to get 1.6 million people. So that means Cingular will have for the year 4.5 million subscribers and Verizon will have 7 million subscribers, which means that Verizon will ...

I hate to say it, but...... Cingular has always looked at the long term goals... Within 4 years Cingular went from forming, to being number 1... that's not by luck or accident. When SBC and BST decided to merge to form Cingular it was to be number 1 and they did that. Cingular always performs low before doing something big... It is their strategy to lay low sometimes and let the rest of the industry do things before moving... this wasn't the best year for them, but considering Verizon has Radio Shack doing a majority of their activations and Cingular kept up pretty good until this quarter shows that they can if they want to... look how much they pushed Go Phone vs post paid... that shows that they were looking else where... No one will top C...

WE'LL SEE, WE JUST HAVE TO WAIT,
BUT I BET YOU VERIZON WILL BE ON TOP OF EVERYTHING, WE ARE NOW BY HAVING THE BEST NETWORK, AND WE'LL GET THE MOST CUSTOMERS AS WELL, WITHOUT MERGING WITH OTHER WIRELESS CARRIERS 😁

Okay, so you think Verizon will pass Cingular by the end of 2006.

That's 'bout what I'm guessing too. Thanks for sharing your methodology wit' me. 🙂

I work for Cingy but to be honest I think that its great that Verizon is number 1 and always will be. . . . the word is "word of mouth" and that Verizon has. Cingy is all screwed from management down. . I even have a Verizon phone. . . .Did you here that now?? . . . . . . .
