VZW User Interface

vzeuisux02

When will VZW do away with their common UI? It is ridiculous not to give customers a choice. Those commi red banners that can't be changed are awful! Get a clue Verizon!

Yet EVERYONE likes it as ArmySF says so why would it have been resurfaced? Maybe because not everyone likes it lol. I mean its the real reason Verizon lost the iphone, not that bogus report someone posted on here.

good call. You think the UI is why Verizon doesn't have the iphone? You have no clue.

Oh I am sorry I don't have a clue...lol, I guess I will just stick with working in the Oil Industry, where actual money is made lol.

yeah thats smart oil is a good long term business these days. make your money while you can moron but to be on the safe side you may want to invest what you make in other things 🤣 like communications.

Well as much as everyone would like alternative fuel sources, we have enough oil for our lifetime and our kids life time, and I am 24, and don't plan on having kids any time soon, so we have a ways for that...next time do some research before you open your mouth, because the oil discoveries that have been made are going to push out the 100 year mark we already have even furhter, not to mention all they have to do is lower the tax on gas if alternative fuels are vialble, which they are also going to be more expensive in short supply, so guess who makes money off that, the OIL INDUSTRY.

Iphone is a PDA... none of the PDA's Verizon has uses the Standard UI. If Verizon got the Iphone it would have had the same features has Steve Jobs wanted.

Well then why did Steve Jobs have a disagreement with Verizon on software that would be allowed on the iphone?
...

The disagreement was Verizon not wanting to give fees and control to Apple... you can read the other post on why Verizon passed on iphone, if you missed it here. it's on Engagdetmobile.com

For someone that has so much work to do, you sure find a lot of time to post in a forum not related to work.

I am still, to this day, baffled as to why this is such a big issue. Most any electronic device has a user interface and most are standardized. Such is life...you could spend such angst and effort for world hunger, finding a cure for cancer or helping and old lady across the street.

Naw, start another UI compaint thread about the most insignificant things ever to be argued on earth.

Yes electronic device, and probably the same brand as the same UI, BUT, when you have a samsung, moto, LG, etc, then that gets ridiculous.

Sorta, but it's nice. Easy to use but customizable. They usually give you options like list or grid and different colors, plus if you want you can download a theme that customizes ALL the menus (I don't personally like themes, but to each his own). Also, the number keys correspond to the menu options so if you memorize your most used menu paths navigating is lightning fast. I'll take Sprint's UI over verizon's any day.

NEVER!! Verizon uses BREW so you can't customize. They don't want you to change anything, or get anything for free. They want to control your service down to the smallest detail. As long as you are with Verizon, you will never get anything more out of the UI. You are their slave!
