HELP I Need the BLACK Q But...
Hey all. I am somewhat new to VZN. I've been a customer about 6 months. I really want to get the black Q however like everyone I don't want to pay full price. I don't even mind paying the $199. but I cannot renew my contract as I am 18 months away and it is through the company I work with.
Any suggestions on how to go about getting the black Q for the $199.?

bitch to a corporate store manager and tell him/her you will upgrade to a very expensive data plan. might help you out. Also if you are my account member and have a plan of 49.99 or higher you can do an annual upgrade.

What is a "my account member?" I am on a 49.95 data plan plus a larger minutes plan.

You have to complete 1 yr of service under your current contract to do an annual upgrade. It's available to anyone on a $49.99 or higher price plan, you can take advantage of it at a store, telesales, customer service or My Account on VerizonWireless.com.

Lol our reps dont get paid on annual upgrades. Doesnt count towards quota, your not missing much. Personally I prefer the cust's to do it themselves online.

Actually, this customer wouldn't qualify for the annual upgrade. He said he's been a customer for 6 months and the annual upgrade program is only in effect on contracts signed from November 16 and forward.

The Early Upgrade policy has been in effect since before Nov 16th, the Nov 16th date is that it was just possible to do through the internet My Account channel. CS/Direct store have been able to do this prior.

Name Change your current contract to someone else who wants to take over your phone and contract, then start a new contract with a Q. You will have to give up your phone number though.

And just out of curiousity, why do you NEED the Black Q? You could have gotten the silver one when you signed up. What's the big deal about having the black one now? And the odds of you being able to get one now at the discounted price are slim to none.

Do what most every other customer does.. either complain in store till the mgr gives in or complain on the phone till they give in.. Your ina tough situation given youve only completed 6 months. But hey if other customers fel entitled to a discount on a phone after 1 month im sure your 6 is abit better.

sure it voids warranty, but if he's gonna shell out full price for a black one I'd at least try it first.
If you take it apart and then only paint the outside you're not likely to break anything. At least not from the paint. Taking it apart could be an experience.

I didn't feel like reading through all these so if someone suggested this already then i apologize. Why don't you just get on Verizon's website and find a black skin for the Q, that seems like it would be far less of a hassle and cost you less as well, just a suggestion.
