Outside phones with Verizon?
I'm really interested in using a phone from Asia and/or even a phone from a different carrier. But I'm reading this and that online and not getting a straight answer to how this actually works. One thing I've been finding to be true, though, is CDMA may be more difficult for this process than GSM phones. Does Verizon even allow the use of other phones other than their own on its network?
And if it does...can you guys tell me what to know and how to go about it? Thanks!

Ever since the whole 911 gps thing esn's are loaded onto Verizon database before being sent out to retailers. So Moto sends a box of razr's, before those are sent to any retailer they must be first loaded into the verizon database. They do this so when the retailer goes to activate the system will recognize the esn and pass it as 911 gps compliant.
