Annoying VW voicemail auto message

Does anyone know if it's possible to totally ERASE the automatic voicemail lady that comes on after your personal greeting and tells you "if you'd like to leave a call back number, press 5" ??? I HATE THIS AUTOMATIC VOICE LADY!!! I've complained to VW and they say they get a lot of complaints from ppl like me who just want this auto response erradicated.

I just want to leave a greeting with my voice, nothing else!

I am not sure it if gets rid of the voice completely, but if you go into your email, there are options in there- under adminstrative options or personal options- to turn the "to leave a fax" off and perhaps the other stuff too. So I just called myself to check because I turned those options off but I still have the damn "press 1 for more options." For some reason my brothers voicemail goes straight in without it. But he just has his name, not a personalized message.

Since this is something that PERSONALLY bothers you, did the thought of going into the PERSONAL options menu ever cross your mind? Mmmmmmmmmm... 😲

Those settings can only be controlled by VZW via the Octel system. The only options which you can change via your mailbox login are - removal of the numeric paging prompt & the language. Even my removing the paging prompt, you will still hear the first prompt indicating "at the tone please record your message..."
