I think that's a reference to the Verizon Merits program. I am a member, I guess because of being with Verizon so long and having an expensive enough plan, so they allow me to upgrade the phone on my principle line every year for the same as a new 2 year contract. I don't know if I get the $100 credit because I haven't reached the upgrade date yet, but it does require a 1 year extension on my contract.

no......I was in the store today talking with the store manager, and he said that Verizon is changing their new every two program. You now can upgrade to a new phone every year even though you might be on a 2 year agreement. The term stays the same but you can change phones every year.

probably too good to be true. Reps don't always know everything, sometimes they think they know but they have no idea.

This is true I got an email today, free back up, and new phone every year with a 2 year agreement, on a line of more than 49.99 a month. They will also send you a text if you are going over your mins. for the month.

regardless, I worked at a couple different cell phone dealers and I know a lot of people even managers can hear something then blow it out of proportion.

This is the policy. A person that is a merits customer with a line $79.99 or above can upgrade every year at regular 2 year promotional pricing.

The new Annual Upgrade program is an online only feature. The customer must be registered for my account online, the line has to be $49.99 or above, and they will also pay an upgrade fee. This can only be done online.

Also, is this in effect now?

you have to be on a line of 49.99 or higher to qualify. secondarys are 9.99 and thus do not qualify.

if your secondarys are eligable for upgrade however you can get the bogo offers on them, they must be eligable tho.

yes this is in effect.

Yup well basically what the vzw agent said is what I have also heard to be true. For those of you who doubt this or didnt even know about it..im not sure exactly why because I work at an indirect agent and I know a couple weeks ago we had to get rid of some old material and we received the worry free guarentee flyer as well to post in our stores, which is a bit different and includes this.

What I heard was that customers who are on a 59.00, (it could be 49.00) are now able to upgrade every yr, as long as the account has been in good standings. Now the 1st yrs upgrade discount is you get the new subcriber price of a phone, so example right now if you were able to do an early upgrade you could get the 325i for 29.99

As long as you are registered at Verizonwireless.com and have a price plan of $39.99 you can upgrade every 12 months with a $20 fee.

It should be on the website. You can go and search for "Worry Free Gaurantee"
