Does anybody know if VZW will be selling the new Treo 750's or Blackberry Pearl any time soon? I am on my 4th Treo 700W, buying this was my biggest mistake. The phone keeps resetting itself, it freezes when trying to complete a conference call, When it freezes a soft reset wont work you have to do a hard reset which is a pain in the As- when you travel, I lose all my contacts and appts.
VZW is good a replacing the unit but the problem doesnt go away( even when I demanded a brand new unit) after 4 units I have to say there is a problem with the 700W. I asked VZW to send me a different model either Treo or Blackberry they told me NO!!! That isn't there policy!!! I spend close to 300.00 dollars a month with VZW i think its time to giv...

I had the same exact problem, I had the Treo 700W and that was the stupidest decision that I have ever made buying a phone. Though, you are lucky, they wouldn't replace mine, nor did they see a problem with that every time I used it I had to manually close down the applications that I had used that were still running according to my memory allocations.

I had to do several hard resets and then have to sync my phone back with my PC, which doesn't work quite as smoothly because somethings did not come back when I did it.

I think it had something to do with it being Windows based as opposed to the original Palm OS. I could be wrong. But I would be very reluctant to buy another Treo with windows on it.

Its because it has a small RAM. 32 MB i belive. The 700wx is coming that has a bigger RAM so it should clear up the problem.

Yeah that would help but the problem I had was that intially before I started storing stuff on my phone it would do it. It started doing that to me within the first week of me having it.

Well RAM doesnt have to do with storing stuff. It has to do with how much you can do with the phone at a time. Sort of like power. The 700w isnt that powerful, thats why when you run large apps it freezes

Yeah, but like I was saying if I sent a text message saying something like "Yea" it would freeze up without any other applications running.
