Sick of VZW I don't like their upgrade policy. I don't like the fact that you have to wait 2 years to upgrade to a new phone.I've had VZW for almost 2 years now and for the last 2 months I haven't had a phone.I already paid over $400.00 for new phones. All the phones that VZW has are cheap and I'm sick of charging my phone everyday.Other than that VZW has awesome coverage and customer service. At least with Cingular I can upgrade my phone every 6 months. And you can also find GSM phones cheaper on the web than CDMA phones.

You can leave. We aren't going to stop you. I don't like seeing a customer go BUT you also didn't give us enough information to attempt to help you.

Did you have a motorola v60 or t700 series? If so then that is your issue right there. Moto made those phones POORLY. Most VZW direct stores will fix/replace motos without an issue.

Keep in mind that the VZW phones RETAIL cost run from $200 and up easily. If we gave away free/replacement phones every 6 months, we would go out of business. Sure that phone you got last year only cost you $50 BUT it cost VZW $200-$400 to purchase it. On the average customer, VZW pays off a discounted phone in the first 3-6 months of an agreement. Thats at a $40 rate plan being the average. No I won't disclose...

I'm not saying VZW is a bad company I do like their coverage and their CSR.When I signed up with VZW I had the V60i which the phone ended up having the earpiece completely defected. When I went to VZW to se if the phone could be fixed they had to replace the phone but not with a V60i because they didn't make the phone anymore so I got samsung a310. In five months after that I've replaced the a310 about 6 times. When my last a310 broke I had to buy an LG VX4400B which was an awesome phone.Last week my brother borrowed my phone and snapped the phone in half because he got mad at me. The only thing I'm saying is that CDMA phones that VZW has are very expensive at retail price and thats why I don't agree with VZW upgrade policy.I don't want to l...

If you are on a rate plan $59.99+ you can do an early upgrade and upgrade your phone after 1 yr. Otherwise every 22 months you get their NE2 pricing, which is actually quite nice since a lot of their phones end up being FREE after mail-in.

However, you have to way out your options, and if that means you have to go to a "lesser" carrier (and I only say lesser because you implied that, not because I agree with it) then so be it. I use AT&T Wireless, which a lot of people seem to dislike at the moment. But for me, I don't have issues with billing, I don't have issues with Cust Serv, and I don't have any issues with Coverage/Signal/Dropped Calls/etc. So even though VZW might be "better" to me it's only a difference in price, one I'm not willi...

What? U can only upgrade 6 months early on $79.99 price plans and higher and 4 months on $35.00 to $79.98 price plans. Yes, if you wait for 22 months, U do get $100.00 credit towards phone as long as you extend contract another 2 years.

early upgrade is possible after a year of service, requires a 2 year renewal on a plan of $59.99 or higher...don't know about this $79.99/$35.00 business.

Where do you work? I'm 99.999999% sure that the upgrade policy is the same across all billing systems. If you sign a 2 year contract, you're eligible for the ne2 in 22 months from the day you started; however if you want to upgrade earlier(w/out ne2) you can do so in 18 months if you're on a $75 or higher price plan--in 20 months if your on a $49-74.99 price plan.

that is not the same in the midwest...with the early Upgrade Program. as long as you have had your phone for one year and either are already on a calling plan of 59.99 or higher or migrate to a calling plan of 59.99 or higher you will be eligible for promo pricing on new eqp with a 2 year extension to the service agreement.

I don't work for any cellular company.I work at the airport and I live just 30min outside of Boston.I just wanted someone else's opinion before I do something stupid. But here in mass. all the VZW reps are telling me I can't upgrade til my two years are up.But I not the only one here in mass. having problems with their phones.I've been to about 4 different VZW stores and the tech line is always out the door(no matter what time of day you go).

I don't think you realize that Cingular makes you wait the same amount of time Verizon does to upgrade. They have their new protocols in place that ensures this and you won't be able to get around it. If you do find someone who will get around it, then most likely they will not be with the company much longer because they are firing people for not following protocols.
I worked for Cingular up until mid-June and now I'm with Verizon. Trust me, stay where you're at....you'll be much happier in the long run

A) You state we will not replace your phone/let you upgrade. That tells me it was NOT a manufacturer's defect sicne we WILL fix/replace those, meaning it was user fault and would be covered under handset insurance.

B) You never state anything about the handset insurance leading me to the conclusion you don't have it. This is offered at the time of purchase on all handsets and the cust either accepts or declines. For $3.99 a month not having handset insurance is foolish considering as was stated earlier a new handset can run from $120.00 for a basic handset to in excess of $800.00 if you have a PDA phone. Asurion and Lockline, depending on which state you live in, both have a $50.00 deductible and will most likely overnight drop ship repla...

Sorry to go off topic, but is there a list of which states are covered by which?

Since I'm moving, is that something I'd have to worry about?
