Oh yeah dude. We're being routed to New York. We lost the Carolinas today and omfg the wait is UNBEARABLE!!!
Too much business and not enough help today.
What REALLY blows is that the port-IN center is just unreachable...

Customers are going to be angry for being on hold. And when customers are angry they are not rational, they don't think of any other factor affecting hold time besides "this company doesn't value my business."
Side note; has any rep noticed the same when something, or an outgoing/incoming call doesn't work on a customer's cell phone? It has to be the carrier! It can't be that i'm in a bomb shelter, or driving through the middle of the desert, or the # i'm calling is disconnected---it's automatically the carrier's fault.
