you can already do that if your the primary and your plan is over $59.99 (atleast in the midwest). Just sign a new 2 yr and pay the sales price, forfeit your NE2.

I heard about the "new phone upgrade after 12 months" and the "allowing subscribers to still utilize their new every 2". BUT it was by accident I heard this from a rep. I called them about upgrading after 12months and they told me about this new option. Nobody made any attempt to let me know this was an improvement. I think they should come to us and let all their subscribers know things like this in the future.

So you think the policy is already effective?
I doubt it. Anyone?

They told me I was qualified to upgrade in JAn 2007 (my 12 month date). I would think it would be effective.

There are restrictions to upgrading early i was told. You can't order your new phone via online, even though it's cheaper that way with online discounts. You can only order in person at a store or kiosk, or over the phone with a rep. And your contract must stipulate that you qualify for an early upgrade. Plus, you are required to sign a brand new 2 year agreement.

At least that's what I've been advised by Verizon.

The policy is not up and running as of yet. The upgrade portion is somewhat in effect. Customers will be able to upgrade after a year if they are on a $59.99 price plan or higher. The ETF proration is not up yet, and no word on when that will start

wrong, once the new policy takes effect new customers from that date will qualify for the prorated etf, existing customers would of had to sign either a new 1 or 2 year agreement to qualify for it..
