Did anyone notice in the bestbuy ad this weekend that they had the samsung 870 in it and it said 2.0 egapixel camera! ๐Ÿคฃ wonder how many employees got yelled at over that one ๐Ÿคฃ

no one will get yelled at. That is bestbuy doing what it does best. That will get the customer to them and whoops, but, while you are here, we can get you this phone and service. It gets the people there, which is half the battle. I wouldnt buy from bestbuy to save my life, specially a cell phone where you probably will need service or help after the sale, and bestbuy knows nothing about service after the sale. best buy blows, i used to work for them and only stayed there for like 2 months cause i got tired of their shady tatics with customers. "sure we have those dvds 2 for 10, but we dont have any.. here buy these instead" "would you like an extended warranty on your crap"

Am I right about service after the sale? There is no service after the sale at best buy unless you get your check book out. My bestbuy lesson cost me $300, soem people were not that lucky, the cost was way more.

and the extended warranty, yeah, try using it.

To keep this on topic, think very hard before getting a phone from best buy. As, after the 15 days, you don't need to waste your time going to best buy for anything, as they will tell you they can't do anything for you. You will not have customer service thru best buy after the 15 day WFG that verizon has. Don't find out the hard way, I know the price will look good, but, in this case, I gurantee you that you will get what you pay for if you need assistance after the sale.

When did anyone who didn't deal strictly with cell phones ever give you service after the sale? You people need to stop going to these jackasses who sell other crap. Go to the real deal, Indirect Exclusive. Ok, so some direct know what they are doing. : )

I have been screwed over by corporate vzw stores more times than I can count. They will do anything to hit their f'ing quota for the month. best buy employees do not have this to worry about. Plus, their prices are pretty much always lower than vzw and best buy has all instant rebates, none of that mail-in bs. Hmmm and let me think....out of the last 5 sweet new phones to come out who got them a week before the corp stores did? You guessed it....BESTBUY.

nobody said that bestbuy might be lower in prices, but, you get what you pay for. They wont be there after the sale. I would pay extra and get my phones from a corp. store, or an inclusive agent

Actually bestbuy is there after I buy my phone. They taught me how to use a bunch of the features (my first pda phone) for FREE. They gave me a follow up call, not to sell me things, but to answer my questions. They didn't pressure me to buy stuff or the service plans, they just let me know how they were helpful.

If anything, its the opposite of what you are all saying. Bestbuy doesn't rip me off, is helpful during and after the sale and doesn't treat me like dollar sign.

You forget many people are not cell savvy nor can they read a manual. The need their hands held by corporate sales hands and pay dearly for it.

I buy all mu phones unlocked and unbranded offline I don't expect AT...

I would never buy a cell phone at Best Buy.
I have expierence with them, and I am telling buy at your own risk. Even buying any electronics, buy what you really want, because
these people who work have no idea what they sell and how it works. And the 'geek squad' is a joke.

but most people don't do their own research before buying, so they get stuck buying things that they don't want. I should know, Radioshack is the same, I use to work for them, and the associate will say anything to sell an item, it was pathetic ๐Ÿ˜ก

Apparently nobody can read and missed the point of the original post. I have read it a few times just to make sure, but to me it sounds like they sent out an ad that has a basic camera phone but labeled it as a 2mp camera. Now maybe its just me but it sounds like the point was about some dumbas that completely misrepresented the phone, not wether or not you should go there to get your phone.
