T-Mobile VS Verizon VS Cingular

I have been with qwest for three years, and they suck! So now i am looking into Cingular or T-Mobile. My roommate has had Cingular for three years with no complaints, but my girlfriend has T-Mobile and the only complaint was that recently the entire network shut down and no phones worked.
The guy at Cart's swears by T-Mobile and showed me the JDPower website that put T-Mobile at the top of EVERYTHING for wireless.
My problem is cost. Cingular is the same pricing as Verizon, but has a 50% off the phone and 25% off the bill per month plan for Boeing employees. They also have rollover minutes, and a fairly good plan. They offer 1400 minutes on a family plan right now for $89.00 while T-Mobile only offers either 1000 minutes for $69.00 which...

I'am sure that Verizon also has a discount for Boeing employees, but if not, it sounds as if you are leaning toward Cingular, which is fine, I have accounts on Verizon and Cingular. If you go with Cingular do you own research on phone choice, the Cingular forum is filled with sales idiots with their own agenda and will not provide the guidance you need.

I kind of figured that. I guess overall cost is my main focus, as well as quality. But really, it seems that they are all good enough.
Thanks for the info. I have done a lot of research, this is actually my last stop before buying...🙂

Verizon also has a discount for boeing employees, 25% off all accessories, they have good coverage, at least where I live. The pricing, $80.00 for the primary line 9.99 for each additional line. Unlimited in calling, unlimited nights and weekends.

Verizon Wireless is not the cheapest carrier, nor do we want to be. we want to be the best carrier, And we are.

VZW has the best network, the best customer service(along with Tmobile), the best upgrade policy, the best phone lineup(currently).

Dispite offering the most minutes on plans Tmobile consistently has the highest churn(custs leaving) in the industry. VZW however always has the lowest Churn every quarter, why is that? we arent the cheapest, we dont have rollover, we dont have n/w's starting at 7, yet fewer people leave VZW every single quarter, and more people sign up nearly every quarter with VZW. Ask yourself why is that? its becuase VZW is the best, and our customers prove it every quarter.

i have been with most all carriers out there. the ones i havent i have family and friends who do. i have had verizon for about 4 years. and i have got 90% of my family and friends to switch to verizon. and service has been flawless, others that the fact that they do cost little bit more, but hey, you get what you pay for and this is very true with verizon. in the few times that i did have a problem they resolved it before i could complain. i was with cingular on 2 different occasions (duh!). both times were a train wreck of an experience. there service is no better than verizon, there phone are like a puzzle, and customer service is a 45 min wait (at least). they say you have a month to cancel service. i returned the phone after 2 weeks but ...

I was a personal TMO user for yhears and have absolutely no complaints. Their coverage was far better than Cingular and customer service was the absolute best.

As a company we went with VZN and the coverage is also extremely good. Customer service is average.

TMO has many rate plans and does offer discounts for specific company employees. VZN and Cingular are a little pricey.

I would go with TMO or VZN. The people that I know who use Congular have had nothing but problem with service and in many cases coverage.

Good luck on your choice.

I was with T-Mobile for 3 years. Despite JD Power customer service awards I had horrible experiences almost every time I called in. While with them the quality of the network improved, but Verizon is better.

Consumer reports rates Cingular as WORST for customer service. A friend at work has Cingular because we get a discount through work and has been pleased, however.

I've been w/VZW the last 2 years and planning to renew. I've had one bump with customer service with them but it eventually got resolved. So pleased with the coverage that I got rid of my tri-mode phone and went with an all digital about 6 months ago (wife broke hers). We get good receiption where my dad lives - In a ghost town in SE Kansas (pop 110 and no services).

Did you beat her? If you did she'll probably never do it again.

Definitely, I hit mine the other day because she was telling me about how she dropped it on the carpet. Seriously, that can break phones and it has before. I don't know what it is with women but it seems like you can't trust them with anything electronic. I'm even worried about the electronic temperature on the oven. At this rate I'm going to start having to do the cooking.
