new j.d. powers study

vzw-csr21

Jul 26, 2006, 6:16 PM
the new jd survey shows that vzw and t-mobile are tied for first in customer care perormance alltel ranks second and sprint/nextell and cingular rank last . Its prett funny that cingular and sprint/nextell got beat by alltel especially since the only have one fifth the customer base people can say all they want that these surveys are meaningless but its not an independent research company coming up with own data this the voice of the people. Full report can be viewed @ www.jdpower.com

doesnt study stuff that ALL consumers of such product(s) are happy with?

like CRACK for example. for example joe rockhead will get his stuff from billy blow and be satisfied, then turn around hours later and score more from danny pipes. HE's STILL HAPPY!

i just though i post something as meaning less as this post 😛

It does not surpise me. By just looking at VZW customers who work at my place you can see, that VZW customer base does not care about technology or lack of thereof. The concept of making a phonecall already makes them very happy. They see bars - they are happy. They see commercials they are happy. When I ask about OBEX, SIM, UI, UMTS etc. I get a blank stair - but hey, they are very happy with VZW.

yeah thats just crazy that people actually like a wireless PHONE service that they can actually use! Yes there are techies out there that really like all the bells and whistles like transfering files to another device using bluetooth, but really what percentage of americans actually care about that??

That number is something you as a Vzw CSR or fanboy (whichever you are 😕 ) will never know. It's not so much about who is really going to use OBEX (because you are VZW, you really don't have the tech savvy people on your side) It is the principle; the nerve! It is getting a perfectly functional phone and taking away its features to make it work only a certain way. That's what is all ab...

You called me an idiot? That's funny. Why? The amount of tech savvy customers vzw has is not completely satisfied about the whole crippling issue. (Ahem! you)
You have clearly stated plenty of times that you would be with a differnet carrier in a heart beat if it wasn't becuase vz is the only one that works in your area. And don't say otherwise now.

BTW, Did you get used to those red lines yet?

Hi Anx

Lets be real here the statement you made is completely idiotic considering we are on a cellular forum, there are plenty of verizon customers who are very tech savvy. But there is even a bigger reason for you being an idiot, that is you keep running your mouth and haven't got a clue what you are talking about.

Not all verizon phones have crippled bluetooth, nor red bars. So when you continue to come in here saying crippled, crippled every damn chance you get, you really look like a tard.

it is very simple for the standard UI, verizon has over 50 million customers, i would say probably 47 million people hated the fact that when they got a new phone, they had to learn the menu system for the phone. thus verizon being the business powerhouse that they are, issued a standard UI for the 47 million customers who hate learning a new UI. unfortunatlty for the rest of the customers who like the diff UIs, they had to deal with it until now. LG and adobe developed a flash UI, for all the other customers out there.

now the only problem is that all the other manufactuers need to buy the flash UI from LG and adobe to use it on their phones. that is why you only see it on lg phones thus far.

BT crippling is done due to the fact t...

Come on dude! "They cripple it from identity theft" 😳
Just call it what it is, they want the money. There is nothing wrong with that either but dont go there about identity theft b/c no one from Cingy, TMo, Vodaphone UK, Orange, DoCoMo (whatever), or Sprint for that matter has that problem or has had that problem. Plus Sprint has a music store and allows for certain file transfer. Be real 😁

BT crippling is done due to the fact that there are some idiots that keep very valuable information on their cell phones. if BT wasnt crippled some thief could sit next to you on the train, or bus whatever may have you and steal your information wirelessly

My point has been somewhat confirmed...
Is the average Vzw user stupid enough to not know how to turn BT off?
Do they even know that its use goes beyond a headset?
Just like ygbhen said; other carriers haven't had any problems with BT.... 🙄

Its absolutely ridiculous and does nothing but show your blind loyalty to cingular for you to make statements like this. Just because Verizon limits the use of BT on its phones doesn't mean that everybody who uses verizon isn't "tech savvy" or that they are too stupid to turn the BT on their phones off. All it means is that overall network quality, customer support, in store tech support, and their satisfaction are more important to OUR customers than transferring files from one phone to another using BT. and to my previous statement about the % of customers that this feature is actually important to, I was asking about nationwide on every wireless network. Seriously... How many people in every part of the country, on any network really ...

I am a Verizon customer, and while I am very happy with my service...except for a few areas that seem to be getting less of a signal than they used to, I completely agree with the poster stating that Verizon cripples the phones and no one seems to care.

I for one would love to have the features of other companies phones.

My "New every 2" time is coming up and I WILL base my new phone selection on what I can HACK. Shame on Verizon for creating a network and phones that have to use BREW or whatever it is called to put a ringtone on a phone or to email a low quality photo...

I stay with Verizon because we don't have a landline and my wife's friends and family nearly all use Verizon so she can chat away with the In Network calling...I ...

believe me verizon hears what your saying. and we are working to heed to customers demands. but on the other hand like i said in my previous post the crippling of things on the phones are making verizon wireless money. we are a business, you start a business to make money, and thats what were doing.

as i said before we are trying to satisfy every customer we have.

SHAME ON VERIZON??????? Wait, last time I checked we all live in a country with a capitalist economy, that means that companies are out there for one reason. To make money. How many people go to work everyday, just because they love to, and infact would do it for free. I would argue that no one would say that, or at least no sain person. Verizon just like every person and company is hereto manke money, so how can you say shame on them? Shame on you for waking up every morning, and going to work, and making money! Its just ridiculous. These studies dont lie, VZW comes out on top all the time, because we make the majority of our customers happy, plain and simple

the purpose was to do both. why not avoid lawsuits and make money. its a pretty simple concept if you ask me, and we execute it to perfection.

i just said some other really important stuff, but my wireless provider just dropped my call. actually an independent research company proved it!!! 🤣

So are you saying the average Cingular customer knows what obex, ui, umts, evdo, or whatever other acronym you want to pull out of the glossary is? There's a reason companies come up with marketing terms like broadband instead of wcdma, evdo, etc. This forum does not represent the average wireless customer.
