First.

Can anyone answer this. I have a customer who bought a V3m Silver Razr. He also purchased the Music Essentials Kit. When he tries to move files from his kit to his phone (which has the transflash card) he gets an error message about the license of the file. He contacts tech support through the 1-800-922-0204. They advise him that he must need the software flashed. He takes the phone to the technitians who say he has the most current software. They give him 1-866-788-WDTS to call when in front of his computer. He calls this number. They tell him that his PHONE ISN'T CAPABLE of the music transfers!

I call that number and get that I will have AN HOUR WAIT TIME!!! Holy cow! What is going on here? I know his phone is cap...

Tell the customer to pound sand, obviousle he will NEVER make you money, just tell him to go back where he got the phones for help, sometimes its just better for you to blow them off and make them made enough to not come back, collateral damage.

Correct. That is what I did in this case. The irony though was that Wal-Mart called customer care to complain that I wouldn't help their customer!

I had a customer come in the other day that had a Motorola 276 they bought from Walmart and after 15 days she decided she didnt want the phone, Walmart wouldnt take it back, so they told the customer to come to my store and I would take it back! The customer was ticked because I wouldnt give her a refund on a phone she bought at wal mart! I just kept sending her back to them and evey time they would tell her that she had to return in at my store.

I love Wal Mart, the employees making $6.50 definatly know how to treat their customers!

Remember that it is Verizon Corporate that sets those policys that allow Walmart to do business the way they do, and then demands that others who are smaller, do business the way they say. Don't blame Walmart or the customers. Blame the people that set the rules that permit this. It would be very easy for Verizon to set the same standards for anyone.

Hey just to let you know. The driver in the music essentials kit for the v3m, the last that i have heard, is not loading correctly. Known issue sent to moto but no updates back yet. So when it loads it comes up in the device manager as the v3c not the v3m so it will not work. So this is probably why the wdts told him this. They also probably did not tell him it would not work anytime just not till moto comes up with a working driver to fix the issues. I am not in the wdts i am in the data q so i have been dealing with a lot of calls on this. Only work around i have been telling cust is to still use the mp 10 to download songs but to get a memory card reader to then drag and drop the songs onto the card and insert in the phone. I have...

the problem is that the song they trying to transfer doesn't have the proper "license" [was downloaded illegally] and the software doesn't reconigze the file, and doesn't allow the file to be transfered

Personally, the way I would remedy this situation is to charge the customer for that service. Anytime a customer buys a phone from a different location (although I make exceptions) I will charge them programming services so that they understand the COST of doing business with unqualified retailers (Wal-Mart) or through impersonal internet outlets.

I just spent 30 minutes on the phone with a customer that I signed up on a 3-line family plan to help her block TXT messaging from a 3rd party site, and then helped her add another line at an insanely low price to where I made no profit just to show how much I value her business.

You won't receive dedicated service from any individual if they have no personal stake in the matter. Lost ...
