I want to buy a wireless pc card through verizon, but just don't know what I need to look for computer and card wise.

If I could just get a breakdown about the different wireless cards and what I need to look for when buying a computer I would be very grateful. sry for the noob questions I just don't know. 🤭

Thanks for all who reply 😉

You can do both at the same time....

Dell Computer has a new laptop with the VZW card built in. HP has one as well.

We sell the PC5740. It will do both Broadband and National Access..

Works great...

Is that card installed into the laptop's PCI slot?
Just curious.... Also does it double as a WiFi card or is it single-purpose?

Brent,
The card will double as a wifi card. you just have to tell the card which signal to look for.

Be careful if you want to buy a separate Verizon air card for your computer. Some of the new laptops have a different size slot for data cards (it looks similar - but it looks like a corner has been removed from the new ones). If it has the standard port the PC5740, as stated above, has been a very good air card. Verizon does not yet have the new size data card yet, but hopefully they are coming soon. If possible see if you can see the little plastic piece that they put in the data slot to help keep out dust and other things.

If your going to buy a dell you better be prepared to speak to Muhammad al-Habib in Bangledesh for tech support, I have 3 computers for my business that are all Dells, while the computers are decent quality and a good value for the price the tech support is all out of India and terrible.

I conquer. I hate that this country outsources something like customer service.

They will give you anything though!

I broke a cable in my computer and it turned out to be a Dell only part and I was about a year out of warranty. I called tech support to BUY one and they sent me a box with every wire that came in the case for free, with free overnight shipping. While it did take 45 minutes to get the whole thing worked out, I walked away quite happy and wouldn't mind buying another one.

Thats cool, I guess that it is just like any other kind of business (cellular) some times you get a great rep and have a great experience and other times not so much

I would rather speak to an american and get decent service, than to a person in another country and get great service.
