Are there any indirect employees or store owners out there that could explain to me how you pay commission? We are looking at adding some employees in the near future and I'd like to know how everyone else works their pay scale. We are in the midwest area.
Thanks!
...
I pay them based on price plan, anywhere from $7 for a shared line up to $23 for a $79.99+ lines, $5 for upgrades, $5 for $50 EZ pay and inpulse and $10 for $70 EZ pay, 5% for accessories, managers get bonus baised on volume, boths base hourly pay is $7

id be pissed if i worked for you...........unless i sold 200 phones a month.
...
Your nuts, roughly $30k a year for a 20 something kid to sit on his butt and goof off on the internet most of the time isnt exactly bad.
...
If u paid me that way i would be pissed!! 👿 lol
...
That's not really far from the mark of what I've seen around here. I make a bit more commission wise than his setup, but not much; and as I understand things, my company compensates better than most.
...
i'm with you bro. but then again i know our pay scale.
...
Lets be thankfull Don...lol 😁
...
i could be nuts. but if business is slow or most of ones sales are upgrades then it most likely sucks for your guys.
many agents in my area pay simular hourly but more in commisions.
...
Wow I would never work for you! The reason that your getting kids who spend all their time on the internet is b/c of your payscale tryi increasing your pay scale and maybe you would attract professionals!
In the meantime, Thank you Mr. Rodgers for hiring nothing but the best and paying them accordingly! Your devotion to your employees is the reason for our companys continued growth and success!

$20 new. $10 upgrades. 10% on profit of accessories.
...
Sounds like everyone is getting the shaft.....Up to $60 on new acts and up to $40 on upgrades, all depends on priceplan. Makes me feel better about my job, thanks guys
...
Not me. I get paid very well for what I do!
...
Hey Eagle, just out of curiosity how many stores do you own?
...
also...why do you ask?
...
still wondering why you asked... wfine81
...
i get paid pretty good. not that poopy $5 $10 crap.
...
I don't know how a store could stay open paying that much. We hardly make $100 on new activations anymore as the store owner. Some upgrades you're lucky to make $50 on. There's no way we could pay people that much commission.
...
Ok, at least I know im not going crazy, sounds like you get paid about the same as I do, on upgrades we completely get the shaft (sounds like you do too), The only thing I can figure is that some agents make different money on upgrades based on which plan they put them on, I know with us it is the same for an upgrade wheather it is on hte 9.99 or 199.99 plan, we are lucky to make $50, manytimes we dont even make $25 on an upgrade. with us Secondary lines pay about the same as an upgrade. When we are forced to match the BOGO's on certian phones we will actually loose money on the secondary plan just to get the primary comission.
...
We actually do make different amounts on upgrades. FSP make the least amount, actually they are the same for upgrades or new. The higher the plan the more commission on upgrades just like new, but it's still less.
...
Well damn, we get paid the exact same for an upgrade regardless of plan, the only difference is 1yr vs 2yr prices

yeah...any out there that know what I am talking about...do the math on a 9.99 line. Customer is upgrading to two LG VX9800's (both existing lines) and doing the NE2 on the primary and getting the second for free...there is a trivia question for you...how much would you lose overall?
VZW doesn't favor the small guy. You almost have to be hitting high bonus levels...selling tons of data...and getting your phone direct from the manufacture. I know that we get screwed when buying them from WOW. I also know large dealers that get their phones direct from the manufacture for aa much as 50 bucks less a phone. But then we wouldn't be able to use a rebate.
funny though when Walmart can sell me a BRAND NEW LG VX8100 cheaper then VZW would ...
