Are you trying to block ALL or just from certain #'s? CS can do a complete block or you should be able to do that in "MY ACCOUNT" or if your wanting to just block texts from certain #'s you can do so at www.vtext.com.

I just need to block one number and I thought I did everything correctly at vtext.com but the texts came thru anyway. I'll just call CS in the AM. Its not a huge deal, more like an annoying mosquito...

Yeah, if you go into your Vtext acct and click the My Text tab, scroll down to TXT Blocking, you can list up to 15 email, domain names, etc. to block...

But it is not for mobile to mobile. It is only for spam prevention

From vtext.com
"Block messages from up to 15 eMail addresses, web sites, domain names, or wireless nicknames:
(Example: Richard@anywhere.com, domain.com, or sam@vtext.com)"

Soccernutter is right. There is absolutely no way to block txt messages from a single number. On vtext.com, you can only block email addresses, web sites, and domains. Not mobile numbers, sorry.....

This maybe off the topic, any chance that I could block numbers the same way? I have been getting pre-recorded calls as spam.

Hi,

Most wireless carriers have a texting domain. The only way to block a mobile # is inputing the txting address in vtext.com. For example, Verizon Wireless is your-cell-number@vtext.com

Once entering that address I cannot say for certaintity if if txt will be blocked from that # or if it will only be blocked from-that-number@whateverdomain.com

It would only be blocked if that person sent it from their mobile number @vtext.com. There is no way to block txt messages from the cell phone.

so pretty much your options are

1. global txt block for all messaging
2. tell the individual to stop messaging you
3. change your number if it becomes a serious harassment type issue
