😡 What irritates me is that with Verizon service the recorder feature that permits you to record conversations, only really records what the other person is saying, that is bull should let you record both people, anyways thats irritating.....

You know what irritates me, is people thinking it's Verizon's fault, when it is the manufactuere of the phone at fault, not verizon

and why dont you tell me how you know for a fact that it is the manufacturers fault and that it was not Verizon who has prevented the recording of both people? Usually if it is the phone manufacturers defect for a service Verizon wanted it gets resolved/

I am not really sure why it matters. It is the manufacturers fault. Why in the world would Verizon block off that feature. There is no need to get all huffy.

Exactly. Verizon doesn't make phones, they provide the service. If this feature is so important write the manufacturer of the phone a letter.

This is the one I love... Carriers take no responsibility for the phones.... The problem is, phones are made specifically for the carrier... A Verizon Phone won't work on ATT's network, and a Sprint Phone won't work anyware... And (although technically possible, a sprint phone won't work on verizon for primary service)...

Come on... It is up to the carrier... I love it when a carrier says it is not their problem... But, the phone is specifically made for their network.... And their service... Carriers do have choices... 👿

The phones BASIC features, such as Voice memo, Calender, phonebook, and stuff like that are the Manufactures problem.. Stuff like adding BREW, JAVA, CDMA, GSM, is what the carrier asks the company to put in.. The manufacturer makes a set of phone and basically asks the companies, hey which ones do you like, this is what they look like, and these are the basic features... Get over it dude. Verizon, Sprint, T-mobile and so on DONT MAKE THE PHONES!

And maybe the way it works that way could have something to do with LEGAL issues.. REMEMBER is it ILLEGAL to record a phone conversation without the CONSENT of the other party involved. Why do you think before you call any type of customer service they tell you prior to speaking to someone that "This call may be monitored or recorded"

Can't get over it Dude... Or should I say Dud... The phones are made for specific carriers... With rare exception, a Verizon Phone can only... Only... ONLY... O N L Y ... Be used with Verizon... And, a carrier can not just make a phone and say here it is... Come buy it... They need approval of the carrier... If Verizon (and the other carriers) were smart, they would tell the manufacturers what they want... Or, as in Verizons case, they tell the manufacturer what to take out... Which is why ( I Believe ) many of Verizons phones have had issues... But hey... You are right Dude.... Anyone can make a phone and use it on any carriers service.....

Verizon uses CDMA (Code Division Multiple Access), which is a technology that both Sprint, and AllTell use as well. Sprint, AllTell, Verizon, they could all use the same phones but the wireless carriers SOC Lock the phone, thus allowing only that phone to work on that service. This is why there is more then one carrier carrying any type of phone. The phones features, warrenty, and replacement are done via the manufacturer of the phone, not the carrier. Its like blaming the Cable company for a feature your T.V should have. Wireless carriers do not proactively tell customers their warrenty is with the manufacturer, and actually act as a mediary between the customer and the manufacturer.

AT&T Wireless, T-Mobile, Cingular all use GSM, and as ...

Thank You, And one this to mention as well, even when possible to transfer CDMA phone from one carrier to another, like activating a Sprint phone with Verizon.. most of the phone feature that we linked to Sprint like the Web browser, and stuf like that are useless. You wouldnt be able to get ringers of games or nothing, no sending pictures no txt messaging, all you would have is a phone. Verizon still uses a 2G wap browers to surf the web, and then uses BREW to download ringers and stuff. Sprint Phone do not have BREW, that used a java enabled web brower on the phone which allow for downloads... So like I said If you are to transfer one phone to another carrier, it bcome just that a phone.. nothing more.

Hey sorry you dumba$$ could research the phone, go to the store and experience BEFORE you bought it. Go Blow Joe.

This conversation is so freaking stupid.. He is whining over the fact the voice memo feature doesnt record both ends of the conversation.. And to put MY opinion in this, I think it shouldn't have been put in in the first place. I don't want anyone recording my conversations without my knowledge. If Verizon is made aware of the problem, and recives enough complaints about it, they will usually make a software update for it. But 1 person complaining about it on a forum isn't going to get it fixed.
