Just playin I will stick my with my moto. I use to be huge lg fan had the lg4400 lg6000 both fantastic phones. Then my 6000 finally died at I went straight to the 6100 total crap phone also tried the 8100 when first released more lg junk. And just to stomp my foot down like a little girl I'm boycotting this phone too 😁

Good to hear now I don't feel so alone. 🙂 I'm definitely going to pick this phone up. I like the color, thinner size, and the small improvements on the UI. I just hope the reception is on par with the 325.

Wat do the Lg 4400, Lg 6000, and the Moto 325 all have in common? TRI-MODE! I hate all digital phones. I live in ANALOG/EXTENDED NETWORK country, and I am sorry but you can throw every toy in the world on a phone, if it don't get a signal, its as useless as a Bic Lighter under water to me. Having 2 extra crappy UI's and stereo Blue tooth (the only two differences I really see between this phone and the 8100) does not make it worth while to me. I wish they made more phones like the Moto 325.

LG 6000? Did you mean a different phone cause that was not a tri-mode phone. It was a great phone but not tri-mode.

This looks like "the chosen one" for me. Some questions though if anyone knows:
1) is the video length limited to a couple of seconds or is it unlimited (battery or memory card capacity)
2) Will it support 1GB transflash?
3) Picture taking delay and volume issues? 😉

No seriously that is wat I was told when I asked our Verizon Rep. Exact quote "Dates are still tentative as their may be some changes to make sure there are no bugs like there was with the Lg 8100, but at this point Verizon is pushing to have it on the open market by June 1st of this year"

yeah that is what i a m getting as well, june is the date, just depends on when they get the 8100 out.

Though the Verizon rep said the first of June I believe it won't be available until either the middle or last part of June. Verizon is going to try to get rid of all their 8100s before they offer the 8300 though, most likely both phones will be available at the same time and then Verizon will do something crazy like start giving 8100s away for free.
With all that said, I see the 8300 coming out mid June. I could be wrong though.

What part of the country are you in? Not that I am doubting you, but I spend a lot of time in fringe type areas and for me the all digital phones work the best. In areas where I might switch between analog & digital I never drop a call now. With my tri-mode phones I would sometimes drop when it was trying to switch between the two. I do use a Wilson mag mount antenna often in those areas as well - that seems to help me.

My 8100 picks up the extended network great. If you're worried about coverage, then go with the 8300!

Ah, but they aren't saying just extended network, but analog extended network. That will make a difference. However, look for analog to be gone in a few years anyway...

Sorry. There is no way to get unlimited video with the 8100. I would love it if the 8300 had that option though! Unfortunately, I don't know yet if the 8300 will have unlimited video capture or not.

The 8300 can record QCIF video until the memory is full. No 15 second second limit (unless you want it for messaging).

I have a question. I can understand that not everyone at Verizon would know when this phone is coming out, but why would they be so rude when you call and ask. I called the 800 number and a store. The 800 number said "negative" we have no release date. The store acted as though they had never heard of the phone. When I thanked the person at the store for their time, she said "umm hmm". Why are people so mean and hateful nowdays.

Stop into the nearest Honda dealership, and pull a sales rep off the floor. Ask him when the 2008 Accord is coming out. I am sure you will get the same reation.

I understand. I did say I was interested in signing up with them and getting the 8100 but really wanted the 8300.
