sprint contracts are easy to get out of all it takes is one phone call and knowing what to say, i do it all the time to get custs over to verizon

Yeah dude, you really can't repeal the laws o' physics... 1900 Mhz (Sprint's band) just does NOT penetrate buildings as good as 850 Mhz (most of what Verizon uses). Y'all might luck out and have a Sprint tower so close that it don't matter, but overall, t'aint so good.

If you are stuck with Sprint (past the trial period) then maybe try to get ...

i'm excited. i think the skins look pretty nice.

Its okay, not great though...heres my problem...They are just skins, they do not address the functionality of the UI. I didnt care about the red bars ( i know others did) I want the UI to be more functional...all these changes are doing is masking the problem with the UI, After seeing this, I am really not all that excited

Chris what were you hoping for? Things along the line of being able to set shortcuts, etc like a moto UI. What would you like to see?

Yeah you are on the right track...I want more usable shortcuts (especially with the directional buttons) I hate that all the directional buttons on the UI are used up for get it now and vcast features which I dont use at all...The UI is only really functional for low end users or begginers...but high end or power users get screwed because you can't really change or customize anything.

I certainly understand that I feel the same way. I guess we will just have to keep are fingers crossed and hope for further improvement 🙂 verizon is still the best game in town 🙂

i want the 8300 but i just used my upgrade 2 months ago to get an 8100

sell your 8100 on ebay and then pay full retail for an 8300. If you go to circuit city you can get a 25% discount on a full retail phone if you are in contract. I have already done it twice.

Color me unimpressed. I have the 9800 and I like it for the most part, the red bars don't really annoy me, I'd rather have uncrippled BT access, and better mobile web browsing than a flash based UI.

Its the same exact UI, just with different colors...I personally dont mind the color red (its my fav color) I want the UI to be functional for power users like the previous poster mentioned...more customizationa and less emphasis on ringtones and evdo (which I dont freakin use) I am still very dissapointed with this UI, and this announcement really did nothing for me.
