Call Origination?

I am wondering if anyone has had a similar experience. I received a call from a number that showed up as unavailable, I answered, there was a beep & I hung up. I checked the call history & it showed up as 0. I'm aware of caller-id spoofing services but they must still use 10 digits. I called CS and they in turn called a supervisor from a tech group, who conferenced in someone oncall, we spoke briefly & they said they'd do some checking and call me back. After about 2 hours he calls me back & says that their logs "are puzzling" & they were unable to locate where the call came in to them from but also that it appeared to have been placed directly from a switch... I do some work with CLECs occasionally & would be able to trace it to a certain p...

all that because someone called you and hung up? wow... thats more detailed then my knowledge so i cant really help.

A little paranoid are we? Did you ever stop to think that maybe your number was dialed by mistake and they hung up when they realized this? Are you in hiding or something?
