New phones out this week?
I was told be he sales rep at Verizon to wait a few days before upgrading my phone--he said with next week or 2, new phones from Samsung, Audiovox, and Nokia will be introduce. Several will be out on 10/11.

The Nokia 2128i will be out on October 20th. Samsung a-950 and a-850 just came out the other day.

Samsung SCH-a950 is available online right now, at Circuit City stores Sunday and Verizon stores on Tuesday.

Well, I think the Samsungs he may have been talking about have already arrived- the Samsung 630, 850, 950, and 970 have all been released in the last couple of weeks, though some of them you'll only find at places like Best Buy, who have at least a temporary exclusive.
Far as Nokia goes, the 6256i is supposed to show up at Best Buy on 10/23. The 6236i may show up at the same time or later... know one knows for certain, though there are some threads about it over at howardforums.com.
Far as Audiovox goes, don't know, don't really care to. Their build quality just never seems to be that good, at least on their midrange and low-end flips, and they don't get good user reviews (the 8600 is an example). I try to avoid 'em, Nokia and Samsung...
