Verizon out-of-control advertising

Does anyone else feel like there are too many verizon logos all over the leather cases, plastic cases, even sometimes the phones?? A leather case is so ugly yet alone having a verizon logo TILED on the inside (luckily) but the outside the back the clip it's just kinda silly already. Plus when you're phones OPEN it says verizon nice and clear and on the screen when its open.

I just really hope they dont make a audio watermark when you're talking "Brought to you by Verizon Wireless". But I wouldn't be too surprised if they did the way they're going. I like verizon service most of the time that just gets me kinda irratated.

Would someone tell Nike to get their swooshes off my shoes? I mean enough already! I just counted and my stereo has the word "Sony" on it in at least six different spots. And what's up with the word Dell on my keyboard, monitor and cpu? It's bad enough that when you order a pizza from Papa Johns it comes in a branded box. Do you really need the driver to be wearing both a Papa John's hat and shirt with a big lighted sign on his car?

Oh wait a minute. This is corporate America. My bad.

Can you find anything else to piss and moan about. Some consumers will cry about anything.

Ah, but suppose something was fundamentally flawed (such as a weak physical design prone to breakage) with my Nike shoes...

When the shoe failed prematurely due to the flaw, the Nike reps lurking on the Nike forum over at ShoeScoop.com would not leap in and say - "oh, Nike is not responsible for the rubber in the shoes, the rubber comes from Ruby's Rubber Inc - don't expect Nike to make good on the failed rubber".

It seems like when it's convenient, Verizon wants the consumer to think "Verizon" instead of "LG" every time they pick up the phone and part of the way they accomplish this is to sprinkle Verizon dust all over it (on the screen, on the body, on the box, on the instruction manual, on the case, ...). But when something's wrong ...

your not going to get anywhere here on that, just dont buy the verizon accessories, buy aftermarket accessories, and the problem is solved..Really, why pay $29.99 for a verizon car charger when you can goto wal-mart and get one for $7.44...That is really a no brainer in my opinion, they both do the same job, neither is better then the other..and the one at wal-mart will not have verizon on it...

Actually the accessoires (with the exception of batteries, home chargers and handsfree kits) sold direct from VZW ARE aftermarket, all the ones with the VZW logos on them are indeed aftermarket. While they are very good quality they are not as good as the OEM ones, hold a genuine OEM direct from MOTO, LG ect next to one from VZW and you will see what I mean.

you are right. About the only thing I am paticular on for OEM parts is the battery. I have never had good luck with aftermarket batteries, so, I have stayed OEM on the batteries.

Hum, thats interesting, I have always had great luck with the aftermarket batteries, Im sure they are made by the same people in Korea that the OEM are made by, jsut a different sticker on the outside, either way, whatever works for you.

I HAVE notice a difference in aftermarket handsfree kits and OEM, the OEM sound better on both ends from what I have experienced, I really like my Plantronics brand and my faimly members like the Jabra "Ear Wave Bud" ones, both are very good, as a agent they are MUCH more expensive $1.50 vs about $12 but I think they are worth every penny.

Are you a customer or in the biz?

Wow, I didn't know that. I just turned on the ERI sound on my phone and it does say Verizon Wireless. You're so smart! 🙂

ERI is used so you know who's network your on, wether it is VZW or a roaming partner.
