huge bill

Hi I am one of those with a huge bill. I have a treo 650 and I am pretty sure I got it because I was trying to send a MMS picture msg which did not work and kept sending the same msg over and over again. I did not know that this counts towards data or minutes or something. Plus it did not work, the pic msg kept sending and sending and did not work. I am appalled and shockd and refuse to pay for something that was not intentional. I am wondering if anyone else encountered this and fixed this. I will not pay and will change service if it does not get resolved. Also somehow they said I have the unlimited data plan on there when I called which I never requested so this would be a breech of contract that they added a service without my con...

- Sue? 🙄 Hope you have some serious cash you can put up front to take on a multi million dollar corp, and all the sleazy lawyers they can send at you. The bad PR would probably make then settle before hand, but the threat is idle, and when you off the call after threating it, be assured the reps laugh their asses off at it.
- Breach of contract.... no, it's not. It's an error that can be fixed.

It'll probably be taken care of, I would suggest approaching it in a professional manner and not FLIPPING OUT like most people do. Puts the rep on defense and your less likely to get what you think is rightfully yours. Remember, these charges are valid. If the rep wont help you escalate, if they wont help you esc. again. get Corp addre...

The other side of that is if I go out of my way to help you and there is nothing that can be done, don't do a 180 and start acting like a horses ass. Accept that you didn't get all the info before trying something like an adult. Trust me, screaming and hollering will get you nowhere.

Ok, all of you guys who say us reps have attitudes some times when we vent about customers, this is a prime example of why we get annoyed.

Everybody thinks they are "johnny Cochran Jr.", Breach of Contract, Im gonna sue!. Its that stuff that makes us just roll our eyes and have the "whatever" attitude sometimes.

And to the original poster Shvekle, look at your original contract, it probably has the unlimited data package on it and you probably just failed to read it.

Saying you did not know it would try to resend the message over again is not VZWs fault that you did not read your INSTRUCTION manual. So let me see if I get this straight.....

You use VZWs network for hours trying to send a message, which cost them money, which is u...

I love it when people threaten to sue. I just tell them good luck, you can't.

That and how people claim it's our responsibility to pay them back for the $10,000 in business they lost because they didn't get a voicemail or something. Read your customer agreement. At most you get a free month of service

Sending picture messages does use airtime, so it does count against your minutes. I'm sure they'll be happy to change the unlimited data plan to the 10 MB one, but just be aware that it's something like $15 per MB in overage...a couple pictures or an ESPN page will cost a ton of money in overage. I don't know if this is what happened in your case, but in our area we sell the Treo with $100 off when you sign up for the unlimited plan. Good luck

First off let me start by saying that I was born in America and have always lived here, and I am not of any minority and can actually speak English = White male (which might be a minority now......but thats a different subject all together)

Why does it seem that over the past 5 years or so everything seems to be so out of hand that people HAVE to get everything for free and cant take responsibitly for their mistakes?

There is another post on there about some buy bitching about how much the new samsung phone is going to cost, its abiut $400, well you want a 2 meg camera and viedo recorder that swivels and does everything except slice bread, well, ITS GOING TO COST YA!

Another example, I was selling prepaid phone out of one of my st...

that is why we have this forum.

But tell me, why the heck is it your responceability? The phone only carried a 12mo. warranty. 13 months later, the most you can do is send the phone to motorola and charge him 20% more than what they charge you to fix the darned phone in the first place.

Responsibility, sorry was typing in rage.

Motorola would charge $80 to have it fixed when it didnt cost that much in the first place so I think he was just looking for something to bitch about, the area this store is in has a high percentage of trailors if you get my frift.

LOL

We have three courts in the area around this store. Heck my wife lived in one before we got married, so I should take offence to that statement. I won't. Instead I'll just chuckle and thank the powers that be that we don't sell pre-pay.

Good, I dont want anybody to take offense to that.

I have met some very nice people that live in the "parks" however the vast majority seem to fit the sterotype of "white trash" if you will.

I really hate it too because it doesnt cost a penny to act like you have class but so many people just simply have no idea how to handle situations rationally, and we all know what I mean, we have all had customers who come in drunk and pissed off because they dont have enough money for a $30 card AND beer, so they decide to curse and yell until we have to kick them out.

It's a shame that this seems to be happening more and more.

People just have no class and manors.

Just remember this....

That'd be awesome. You clearly didn't read anything about your service or phone. Prove to everyone that you have no idea what you're talking about, please.

If you try to sue Verizon, you are in breach of your contract, get the etf and all the charges are valid.

SUE!!! SUE!!! SUE!!! SUE!!! SUE!!! SUE!!! SUE!!!
