v710 vs e815

I am now told that the e815 is on hold because of a software issue. Are the differences between the e815 and the v710 so significant that I should wait or should I just get the v710 now? The price is the same and I don't anticipate much usage of the video features. Will the lack of analog limit me at all? I need a good phone. Period. I am stuck with verizon for a variety of reasons too painful to elaborate. Thanks.

If you want a 'good phone' than you have a problem. Verizon wouldn't know a 'good phone' if it bit them in the . . . Motorola & Samsungs have the best reception on CDMA networks. Feature rich phones like vcast phones are great but have some software glitches that appear now & then. I have a audiovox 8940 which gets great reception but the software acts up when it feels like it.

If you travel in more rural areas go with the v710 since it will be able to pick up analog.

I'm sorry. It has a good look and feel, but the interface sucks and even at full volume in a near silent office, the speaker is barely audible. This phone seems to encourage use of headphones on V-Cast since you can barely hear it. Otherwise not bad.

If you live in the midwest, good luck finding either. And if you do, lemme know where you find 'em!
