Why is that most VZW phones have the extendable antenna? Unlike Cingular's stub antennas....

buy an LG 😁 as far as I know all of our LG phones have stub antennas. They're easy enough to replace as well, so if it bothers you that much buy a stub antenna(probably for less than 5 dollars, with shipping) and swap it out

Lg 8000 and 8100 have retractable antennas, I have the 8000 and the only way I can get it to work in my local walmart is to pull up the antenna

Your inside a metal building with a massive amount of computer interference it would not matter if your antenna were 20 feet long. Wal-Mart has those little wireless computers that they carry around that conflicts with cellular signals.

I always get full signal inside my local walmart, on both phones Cingular and Vzw.

One walmart near by I have full reception EVERY where, the other as soon as I walk in the reception walks to zero, I have to pull up the antenna just to make a call, my point was that pulling up the antenna helps a little bit, not drastically but sometmes it is enought to get a call out

Thats strange...if i touch my antenna on my 8000 during a call, the phone can go from full to no service, and drop the call! Its unfortunate that i forget this most of the time.

And I do think its strange that there are no internal antennas on verizons network, except for maybe the blackberry, but only the nextel blackberry has an external antenna

I replaced the antenna on my vx7000 and couldn't be happier. It's now 1/3 as long as it used to be. Once I get my new 8100 I will be fitting it with a shorter antenna as well. I've never had a coverage issue so I could care less about the antenna. In fact with the replacement one in there are 3 bars, I just took it out and it went to 2 with no antenna at all! Doesn't make a bit of difference to me.

That's the only gripe I have about VZW phones is there isn't one with an internal antenna. I used to have a T68i and then T68m and kind of miss the overall size of it. But so what. The keys were microscopic and so was the screen. Playing blue-tooth multi-player games was cool though.

I forgot about that phone. I've never even had someone ask about it. I have little faith in that screen holding up for more than a year though. All it is is a 6015 with a screen that's likely to break and no analog. Maybe if the price were about half it might be more popular.

The Real question here is.. WHY ARE YOU SHOPPING AT WALMART or openly admitting to shopping there?? LOL I'd understand if you had a Sprint-Nextel or a T-Mobile phone, since that's who they cater to 🙂 ohh I'm just kidding! (maybe) 😁
