CDMA phone manufacturers

I've been looking around at what phones different carriers have had to offer and figure the best way to do it is to take recommendations on what phones/manufacturers NOT to get. I haven't got a lot of experience with CDMA, but I know where not to go with TDMA/GSM. Any models to look out for and keep far away?

Note I don't want to open a phone bashing thread here, only know which phones have problems with them. Sorry, motopaulie: Motorola is already ruled out due to bad personal experience, and it would take a lot for me to try one again.

Suggestions?

Well i think a samsung or audivox would be nice. also nokia and Motorola, yeah i know you said you don't like'um but there alright. i used to have a v60 that was built out of like six different phones, a screen from one phone a circuit board from another a antenna housing form another it was the best phone i have ever had. but that might be because i saw flaws in the design (antenna) and fixed them up a bit when i did build it. kyocera and lg i have never had much luck with but other folks swear by them so i don't know. just find what you like and roll with it. most carriers have a 10 or 15 return policy on equipment so give one a shot and if it's not hitting on much take it back try something else until your happy.

Hmm...

This all depends on what you are looking for in a phone OTHER than the fact that it works.

LG-4400 is a great tri-mode phone that'll work almost anywhere.
If you want a camera phone the LG-6000 is the bomb for a really good price.

Audiovox has had great phones in the past.. I'd stay away from them for now until something new comes out. Been having alot of software issues with the 8600 and 8900.

For a simple little phone the samsung a310 is pretty decent IMHO. There has been a big demand for the a500 series but we don't carry it in our dealership anymore.

Keep away from kyocera and their slider phone. Out of 14 we've sold.. They ALL have come back defective within 15 days. In fact almost all our kyocera phones come back...

I would say to stay away from Audiovox and Motorola for now. But everyone has their own preference depending on features. I personally am a fan of LG and Samsung.

Right now, LG phones are the best in my opinion. Of course we all have our own opinions.

LG 4400, 6000 in my opinion both have the loudest ringers. I have not had a chance to listen to the newer LG phones ring.

the lg 4500 has a loud ringer too, not quite as loud at the 6000 but it's pretty close, and speaker phone and digit dial are awesome. i use the 4500 now and i love it, but that's just my opinion. samsung also makes great phones that have some great features, but the ringers are usually hard to hear in a pocket and the vibrate doesn't do much. but, you can always download a louder ringer if it's a problem...

Don´t worry, Linguist: even i was influenced in my decision before purchasing my c333, because unfortunately i always hear bad experiences with phones, so in that case it is totally acceptable.

Thanks a lot 4 your opinion,

Motopaulie
