The TREO 650 is not designed for WIFI but you can tether it to your computer via bluetooth. I know you can use it to give your computer a broadband connection via your wireless. You could see if it will work the other way.

Try asking the question on the Palm forum or browse google for TREO, CDMA and Bluetooth. There are many articles on how to unlock the bluetooth on the CDMA and GSM versions.

Good luck.

Doesn't the Treo 650 have an SDIO slot? If it does, you can get an SD card with built in WiFi adapter in it for about $80.

as it was explained to me, the SDIO slot isn't powered enough to run a WiFi card. i don't know if that's true or not, but i have yet to see a WiFi expansion card work in a 650.

enfora is supposed to be coming out with a sled that will get you wifi on the 650... here's a link:

Verizon branded Treos have a BIOS modification that will block the loading of wi-fi drivers. So despite using the SDIO logo, I don't consider the phone to meet SDIO standards if the cards can't be used.

How would you use the treo650 for a broadband connection when it does not have evdo and only supports national access?
