Looks photoshopped to me. That is our current screen for the most part. The single tab is single voice plans, the family share tab is family voice plans and the data tab is all the data plans, which is what is shown on the screen shot. I don't think it's family data plans. Someone has just gotten creative.

As far as I know the only carrier that has made any mention of family share plans is ATT, the carrier that has rendered it's smartphones useless.

I think every carrier should render their smartphones useless. Maybe then the average intelligence of Americans would increase somewhat.

Can't do basic math? Heck even I can do basic math! Maybe he just want to know the total, like what his total bill will be, instead of a whole bunch of this & that #'s.

No no, it's very simple, add talk, text, and data together to get total monthly bill. He. Literally. Can't. Grasp. That. No matter how I explain it. Now he's saying he just wants a smartphone with a talk plan, and can't understand why that isn't possible.

Ask him what he intends to use the smartphone for, then tell him data would be necessary to do tge things he wants to do.
