I'm wondering when VZ is coming out with some Windows 7 phones. Any rumors?

With smartphones that are LTE like the Thunderbolt, and Bionic. Nobody cares about WP7

It's hard to care about them when they're not available. I think the Metro UI has great potential, but they should really be putting the pedal to the metal if they want to compete.

I never heard WP7 referrered to as the Metro UI.

Microsoft calls the Windows Phone 7 interface Metro UI. If you do a google search for text or images you will get lots of hits.

Jay does not care about WP7 so of course he would neither know nor care bout its code name.

There are still a few people out there and if manufacturers are willing to cater to them then I am all for it.

Yeah well I certainly hope these manufacterers cater to the crowd that I'm in! The crowd that STILL want smartphones with real, physical slideout keyboards dang it!!!

CES, had none to show.

I have had the LG Ally for a tad over 2 months and have been much, much happier it than I was with the Motorola Droid! I qualify for an equipment upgrade in November so it will be very, very interesting to see what is out in November.

My wish list: 01. Dual-core processor. 02. No less than 500mb's of RAMm 02. Some sort of new tech display, whether it be Super AMOLED Plus, Super LCD, or LG's NOVA screen tech, of course a slide out qwerty keyboard, and the awesome 700mhz LTE, and the latest version of Android, which by then will be Ice Cream.

The Ally has the best keyboard of any android phone and I moved to the Droid 2 for the better processor but a substandard keyboard. But, after playing with Swype, I find that I rarely use the physical keyboard anymore. So, I think I'm gonna get the X and than Bionic. If I'm gonna use a touch screen keyboard, I want it on a 4.3 inch screen.

The Ally appears to be an upgraded enV Touch which I have. I agree that the keyboard is better then the droid 2. Like you I'm thinking of moving to a phone with only a screen keyboard. I've tried "swype" and I think I could get used to it, and a 4.3" screen might be big enough to hit the correct keys the first time 🙂

You would need a physical keyboard for Ctrl+Alt+Delete... Unless you wanna pull the battery out everyday like an android.

Well, the OP does. So you really can't say "noboday cares about WP7".
