I just needed to say that I cannot wait til my next check comes so I can order my Droid X. All positive reviews thus far. The only question I have is: IS the motoblur thing that much noticeable? Is there no way to have stock Android?

Blur is not that noticeable imo. It's nothing like the devour.
The only way would be to root it. And that would void the warrenty.

I have MotoBlur on my phone and all you have to do is move all those lil widgets to the trash can so all your FB, Twitter, etc updates won't pop up all the time. Just tap and hold widget or shortcut until the the little trash can pops up and then drag...simple as that.

The Droid X is my first android phone so I wouldn't know stock android from Blur or Sense or any other flavor. But what MissSLM07 said is true. When I first got my X it looked very "busy" and crowded. I deleted many of the pre-installed widgets and moved things around to suit myself. I did simple things like I put all game aps on one page, all "tools" on another, email and news on another...you get the point. The phone is highly customizable. I love it.
