So i called 2 stores today asking the same question:

"Can you give me information on the Samsung n330?"

Store 1- We dont know anything about that phone until it comes out.
Me- So you are telling me you know nothing about a phone that is supposed to come out in 3 days?
Store 1- No sir.

Store 2- We dont carry that phone.
Me- I know it is supposed to come out in 3 days.
Store 2- I just asked the other people and they've never heard of it.

So are the reps at the store just full of $hit and not allowed to say? I hope they really arent that dumb and know nothing about this phone. And its not like this phone is really TOP SECRET. The only thing i dont know is the price, is it really that big of a deal to tell me?

I hate the corp...

In response to what you stated about Corporate Store reps.....

That plan, may have been outdated via VZW. we are not allowed to sell a plan that has been *grandfathered* now you do have people at 3rd party locations that either, Dont care, or Dont know.

In response to the pbones

The A530. i will tell anyone that they can find it Via 3rd party vendors, or Ebay, as will anyone i work with.

the Samsung n330... No we are not allowed to discuss things that are not out yet. it may get pushed back a day, or a week, so no store sales rep can legitimately tell you anything about a phone that VZW has not released

The store reps are just people, period. Some good, some bad, some in between. Anyone who thinks that all of them are helpful or all of them are snotty, or that they're all the same period obviously doesnt know what theyre talking about.

Hey...let me know what you think of this one, wfine81! Looks like something to check out. Let me know how it compares to the 4500. Oh, did go to Verizon and checked out the SoHo that I asked you about the other day...wasn't that impressed. Also display sounded "tinny". May check out the Samsung.

THe only thing I dont like about the new Sam 330 is it kinda looks girly, been showing it to customers today and it defiantly has the "wow" factor. I just am not crazy about it. Does have the "Vib Tonz" which is neat, but I think I will stick with my 4500, the 330 is just not me,

-Good speakerphone
-nice sized display (not to big, not to small)
-Updated menu (closer to the 4500 and 6000 style, icon style)
-relativly small when slide is down (smaller than I thought it was going to be)
-very light weight

hope some of this helps

This has been my argument since last JUNE....The VErizon Sales Reps. I said they would be the undoing of VErizon when formidable competition came along and as any one can see...it has come to pass....soley based upon the Reps and their " take it or leave it...were Verizon" attitudes.

Amazing to see things are not changing much''''

Wifine81 needs to run around the countyr and retrain those boys.....

I am a store rep and know all I can know from reading the reviews on CNET and other sources. I would have given you even less information. I am here to assist customers; not people who call in asking stupid questions about phones I have not received. I am paid based on new activations; are you a new activation? NO. New activations come into the store and I give them my undivided attention because they are my paycheck; not some idiot who will not take the iniative to do a google search and read up on the product himself.

I am a agent in N.E Ohio, ive been the assistant manager for a exclusive Verizon agent for six years.Besides my little 250.00 buck a week salary I make str8 commo.Every customer that approaches me gets greeted with a smile, because that may means $.So with 2 kids and a wife I treat the customer like I would treat my best friend.I love selling verizon service and that rep makes agents look bad too... 🤭 On another note as a agent in Ohio we are able to do customer upgrades after one year of a two year agreement ,the customer will get promo price for the phone as long as they sign a new two year agreement at that point.great selling point for agents considering vzw cant do that at this point.Havent heard to many people talking about that,is ...

I agree about the rep gives everyone a bad name.

Down here in the SE market we cant do an upgradeperiod unless they are 2 months before their contract expires, eroes will even block us to prevent us from doing it.

Same here in the pacific, cant do it until 2 months prior. I am glad i finally did get ahold of someone through CS that knew what the n330 was before it came out. She is calling me back and i am ordering the phone through her.

I'm NEVER going to buy a phone at a corporate store EVER. You know what, if you treat me like a douche when im not able to upgrade or "be a new customer", that ruins your business and makes mine as an indirect dealer better. So keep being rude to customers that "aren't new" they'll come to us indirect dealers. I am a customer and a manager, i know how it goes on both sides.

My experience with Verizon Wireless stores has been that going into a corporate store is like walking into a used car lot. I've found the employees at my local store tend to be pushy and sleazy. You can't trust the information because there is simply no consistency in answers. Every person that you talk to tells a different story. Forget about asking about "complex" policies such as NE2. Next, add poor overall product knowledge. This is pretty bad considering the limited number of service plans and relatively slow turnover of handset models. I have to wonder if VZW ever uses a secret shopper type of program to see how poor their stores really are.

I'm out of contract and in need of a new handset, but I may port over to a different carr...

As a matter of fact, we do get mystery shopped every month in corporate stores. I happen to work for VZW, however, I work in one of the circuit city locations. But, I am not a sales rep. I know in my store, we tell people out right what's going on. Full disclosure at the point of sale. We will be perfectly honest with you, inform you of different prices of phones with each promotion and everything. In my store, us 4 employees want what's best for the employee and will make sure every employee leaves satisfied. Yes, the company jumps down out back because our KPI's may not be sky high or our ATR may not be 3.0, but everyone of our customers leave happy, and that's what's most important to us.
Have you tried going to a different corp...

As a matter of fact, I did go to another corporate store and found it to be pretty much the same. The funny thing is that I went to a VZW kiosk in a Circuit City and found the sales people to be a little better to deal with. I found this to be odd, because they came from the two stores in question (Woodbridge and East Brunswick, NJ). They work some shifts at the kiosk but are based out of corporate stores.

Without getting into the tiresome VZW - Cingular arguments, I found the Cingular salesperson to be much more straightforward, knowledgeable, and pleasant to deal with. From the outset I told him I was in only to look at equipment because I was considering an employee sponsored plan, but he was still really knowledgeable and helpful. Muc...

Well, at least you had SOMETHING good to say about us (j/k). But seriously, as far as reception (trying to avoid a huge reception arguement), the only area which I hear VZW has better signal is to the west of you towards to Jugtown Mountain area...

But I have to admit, I don't understand why the RSRs are not more straight forward. "The phone is 49.99 after a 50mir. If you need a car charger, leather case, and a earpiece, it will be 49.97 extra." If people leave the store not thinking you're a sleaze ball, they will refer their friends/family to you, and you get a lot more commission from new lines then from accessories. If they do think you're cheezy, they'll port numbers to other carriers...
... I dunno. My attitude is probably ...
