Guys I am really curious to know if and when is Verizon going to get the I phone.
I've heard in the 4th quarter and others saying next year.
Does any one out there know whats going on ?
Appreciate your knowledge and input

According to a highly placed source of ours, Verizon Wireless is currently testing Apple iPad devices on their network. We have been told that the model they are testing is a CDMA-compatible device, and while our source mentioned LTE in some capacity (possibly another model), we haven’t been able to independently confirm that part of it. It would appear like the gates of heaven have opened, as we’re probably going to see not only an iPhone but also iPad on Verizon very soon, huh?

Honestly... the only "Factual" evidence out:

AT&T has a 5 year exclusive contract with Apple. 2012 is when that original contract would expire.

Gossip and conjecture:

Plenty of people - here... there... everywhere... surmise, hope, pray, curse the day... and otherwise talk about the possibility that

*MAYBE* Apple has altered it's original contract in a way that's favorable to iPhone users.
*MAYBE* Apple has changed it's contract allowing it to make an iPhone for Verizon.
*POSSIBLY* the date has changed.
*MAYBE* Apple will make a vPhone (or something *NOT* called the iPhone).
*HOPEFULLY* Verizon (who declined the original iPhone deal) has changed it's mind and bent over properly for Apple.

It will happen.

The only thing I concern myself with is a strategy that yields me the IPHONE on opening day. I'm not going to trust the pre orders if they do that, my camping gear is READY! Just imagine it!

I hope you get your wish.

I think Android is a much better platform, and I don't see Apple leaving AT&T any time soon personally...

but I hope Santa comes early for you.

This is probably your best format of your point yet. I'd keep referring to the conjecture with these easy to understand bullet points.

However, change "VPhone." VPhone is a registered trademark of Saygus, which is a company that's been struggling to get their VPhone on Verizon's network for most of a year now.

Personally, I prefer Mr. Jobs' Magical Unicorn Phone, but that's just me.

Half of this page is nothing but iPhone rumor. There is a rumor forum. There are nearly a hundred individual posts regarding this exact request on this forum as well. There was one started just yesterday. Asking a billion times will not make it suddenly happen. Really. Seriously. It won't happen.

Maybe oneday the Verizon forum will be about Verizon.

I've asked numerous times for a FAQ section for each forum, to be maintained by forum members, and this topic could EASILY be handled in such a way. Imagine having a place for people to look and read, presented in easy to understand question format, which we could refer to when someone is too lazy to take a moment to check it.

Still waiting on it.
