If you want rumored release dates....read blogs.

www.bgr.com
www.engadget.com
www.crackberry.com

No release date has been announced or even really rumored. Sprint has set a date of May 23rd, but nothing for 'ol red. Im predicting a late May or June release. Should be soon tho. The phone is definitely complete and ready to ship.

Personally I wouldn't waste my money on it, there are just to many great choices with so much more functionality.

Well put Jake. They can call it the new bold, but it is still what the tour should have been. The tour 9630 was a turd, and that is putting it nicely. I think I am going to hold off for a while and continue to be underwhelmed by my storm2.

What are you using these days Chris? I'd be curious if you were sporting the new droid, and if so, your thoughts on a non-berry phone.

Although the Incredible, and soon the Aloha, are nice devices, I think I am going to wait to see what the end of summer brings.

Well, since last july I have used the following....

bought the tour on release day and loved it at first, but it got kinda annoying with buggy software and sticky trackball issues. I had to return two units for trackball issues. I actually sold the tour in January for the anticipation of a Feb release of the Tour 2. Well that didnt happen...

So I picked up a Droid off craigslist and used it for about 2 weeks. it was a cool phone, but I really never got used to carrying the device. Too heavy, too Klunky for my taste. And after 2 weeks I realized how much I missed the ease of use of blackberry (and bbm of course!)

Now I am using the Storm 2 which has a been pretty positive experience for me. I really like the new storm and I h...

I also bought the tour the day it came out, and had trackball issues. I bought a storm2 on ebay and have been using it since january. Not too bad of a phone, but I don't love it either. The bottom left of my screen sticks often. Between the sticking screen and the trackball issues of my tour, I am really having my doubts about BB. I agree they are solid for business and messaging, but I don't think I can stick with them. Maybe quality issues will be resolved with the new 6.0 release berries. I don't think I will be the first in line on release day anymore for one. I'll wait to see some reviews on here or CB.

Yeah quality issues have plagued BB devices lately. And its funny you mentioned the left corner of your screen cause I have the exact same problem on mine. Usually not that annoying, but it always seems to cause an issue when Im in a hurry or something, lol.

I like the incredible, but I like the size of the HTC evo 4G a little better. I wish they wuould have used the 4.3in screen for the incredible. I really want that size and I have seen nothing in the verizon pipeline that can utilizes the 4.3 screen.

Should be a good summer for phones tho...evo, new iphone, few new blackberries, etc. I guess when the dust settles I will have to make a choice on something new, haha.
