My wife and I are both due to upgrade our BB Curves. I want the Incredible, and my wife would like the physical keyboard on the Moto Droid. I know the physical keyboard is not that great, but that is what she wants. While pre-ordering my Incredible I noticed that both the Moto Droid and the Incredible are equally priced at $199. Knowing that the specs on the Incredible outclass the Moto Droid, I can't bring myself to ording my wife the Moto Droid when it is selling for the same price as the Incredible. Since the Incredible does not officially release until 4/29, I am wondering if it is likely that the Moto Droid will drop in price once the Incredible is available. Historically speaking, does Verizon typically drop prices on an older mo...

Android is hot right now.
As long as ppl want either phone, the price will stay the same for a while.

For ex, the Storm 2 was $179 a few weeks ago...but now that everyone wants android phones, the Storm 2 is barely $100.

And as long as there are customers such as your wife that really prefer a physical keyboard...they're gonna get the money while they can.

Early adopters always get burned on pricing. You should expect that by now.

Want a better price? Wait.

the droid still has a keyboard, gorilla glass, and all metal construction.

It might drop in price some, but not much, at least until there is another flagship phone up there.

Remember, not everyone needs the ghz processor like that.

I cant remember the details of the promo, but I think the droids are buy one get any other device of equal or lesser value free. Call customer service and check on the droid buy one get one offer details, if it is buy one get any free, you can just get both on the 29th for the price of one (you will have a $100 mail in rebate though)

It isnt likely that the droid's price will drop, even with the incredible being announced we sell a lot of them because people want the keyboard.

It sure is good to have options!
One well specced Android smartphone with a keyboard,
One well specced Android smartphone w/o a keyboard.

Personally I have no problem @ all with the Droid's keyboard, it works just fine. I can even type on it w/o looking @ the keys constantly.

$199 is still a solid price for the phone. And the droid is fully capable of handling pretty much anything the Incredible can....and it will get updates faster because its stock google android (no sense to deal with)

Unless your wife is some sort of nutty tech nerdette....keep her happy and get her the droid 🙂

Btw, I have absolutly no complaints about the keyboard, as some others do. I can even type on it without looking @ the keys constantly.

I agree with cw; let her have what she wants. I got my wife a S2 even though I thought she would be happier with one of the Droids but hey....she's a BlackBerry kind'a girl lol. If mamas not happy, nobodys happy hahaha.
