Is your texting affected in anyway. If blocked I don't have to pay the extra 10 dollars per line right? We do text but do not need the data plan. Thanks and any info would be appreciated..

Whether you use it or not, if the phone requires it, you have to pay for it.

ETA: If you are getting a "FEATURE PHONE" and block data, you won't be able to send picture or video messages. As those use data.

Blocking data will not affect testing. Depending on how it's blocked in the system it can block picture messaging. This isn't a way around the $9.99 data though. You don't have an option to block on those devices. You must pay that few and have data if you have those phones.

You'll have to pay the $10 a month if you block data or not.

If you don't need data but need texting your best bet is to get the Intensity, or cosmos.

And blocked data blocks picture/video texting. They go out via interwebz.

Enjoy the $10 charge for data you don't use.

If you block web access, you can still send picture messages. It's blocking national access that blocked picture messages
