Android phone vs iPhone on Verizon
Anyhow, let's pretend for a minute that all the planets align correctly and Verizon picks up both the iPhone and the Nexus One (hopefully subsidized). Given that I don't have any real experience with either phone, which one do you think will be the better device on Verizon? I know the iPhone is getting pretty dated compared to the sexy new Nexus One, but I wouldn't be surprised to see a "new" iPhone by that time. Any input?
Also, iPhones tend to lag on the specs.

I would suggest Android. More free applications, more applications in general, and many app developers intentionally work to develop free versions of the apps that Apple require you to pay for.

I am on board 100% with what Amarantamin is saying here. I have the Hero with Sprint and not regretting it. This would be a similar experience though to having an Eris on VZW. Basically a phone with lower specs on both the OS and hardware ends. The Nexus One will easily be the better phone due to expandability of the memory and the easy replacements for the batteries should it ever need to be.

Anyway my take on the question would be a Droid. I have never been a fan of the iPhone. I know a lot of people have them and love them, but I guess I just don't like the fact that you can't even open them up to change the battery if need be. Plus, at least at one point of time, didn't they say you can not load apps that were not from the Apple store? So you couldn't just go and download a nice looking app and try it out. This might have changed, or I might have be...
