if i have recently bought a pre and agreed to an etf, which i did and decide to buy an N1 when it supposedly comes out this month. assuming i will be able to purchase unsubsidized like the GSM version. will i be able to activate new N1 online without incurring the ETF for the Pre. it is in mint condition and i want to sell it on ebay. does the ETF follow the phone or the actual number and monthly payment, which i will still be paying.

Yes. You can do anything you want except cancel the line all together. My strategy was always to use my upgrade when available, switch back to my previous handset and place the new one on Ebay.
