Well theres also rumo about some Apple tablet, so very likely, it will be EITHER a tablet, or Iphone, less than 48hrs to go til the announcement, so don't forget to check out the tech sites, engadget.com, news.com.

It will be the tablet. If verizon gets the iphone it SHOULD happen in June.. I don't think apple will want to destroy sales until then. So either they are completely breaking protocal, or the announcement is in may for a june release.

(I am saying tablet tomorrow).

Well anyway, the press conference is tomorrow. So it won't be much longer. Essentially what I heard is that the tablet is a 10in Iphone.

Well in order for a rumor to exist, wouldn't information have to be leaked. That's essentially what a rumor is, leaked information.

but leaked information in a quick picture of some guy walking, or screen caps of accessories are a far cry from "I'm doing to take a picture of the documents and upload them."

While it'd be nice for Verizon Wireless to get the iPhone (just so all of the whiny tools who absolutely must have it will shut up), I think that it'll be a shame to see it overshadowing current and future Android devices. Android offers so much more flexibility, and it's sad how so many people just want an iPhone with no real reasoning involved.

You won't see it "overshadow" like you did on ATT. Verizon has always made a big deal about the DIFFERENT phones available on their network, not just their flagship

I read this article on BGR. I've known about this kickoff date for months now. We have them at least twice a year. I've been to dozens of them, even the ones with video feeds and "big news" and I can tell you that in all the years I've worked for Verizon, I've never seen anything more than "pep rally" rhetoric and screen shots of devices I already knew were coming.

I would always volunteer to work to avoid them. They wanted you to scream and act foolish. So undignified.

It's definitely possible.

1) We have one EVERY JANUARY.
2) There hasn't been a January that I haven't been to one in the seven Januaries I've been with Verizon.
3) I got an email on it before Black Friday, and my co-manager who did the scheduling back then told me he was told to anticipate scheduling for it as early as around the time the Droid launched (Nov 6).

OR

They knew months in advance that they were going to coordinate a press release with Apple. Verizon just happened to be doing kickoff rallies in every call center and regional office around the country that day, so why not add a video feed to the event, which is entirely plausible.
