If I buy an LG Dare from ebay and sign in to my account online to change the IMEI number to my new phone, will I still have to agree to add the $10 data plan to use this phone?

The Dare doesn't have a data requirement at all.

You would. Doesn't matter where you get the phone or how you activate it. If it's on the required list it will require the plan now.

Yeah... it not longer matters if you think you need data. Verizon is nice enough to make that decision for you.

Yes it can be. You'll still pay the 10 a month, but you won't have access to what you pay for (but won't be able to accumulate overages)

I disagree with the other person. This is an email directly from Verizon.


Question:
If a customer wants to block data on a 3G multimedia phone do they still have the $9.99 requirement?              Answer:

         There will be NO data block for 3G      Ã‚ 
         devices, if a customer wants a data
         block reps should be selling them a
         simple feature phone. ...
