Hand On w/ Motorola Droid

Wow is all I can say. For the longest time Verizon was known as the stuffed shirts of mobile carriers. I had the opportunity to play with the Motorola Droid and I must say that I am extremely impressed. The ONLY drawback I saw was the physical keyboard. Any chance they'd make another Droid like this phone without the keyboard. Please dont suggest the Eris cause that phone is not in the same category as the Droid

Thank You

As per my previous post, it would be nice to actually get a hands-on as opposed to plastic toy props.

This was at your local Verizon store?

Believe it or not I've actually gone into some of the authorized retailers at BJ's near me. But my aunt actually picked one up and I must say I was impressed with everything but the keyboard!!

It doesn't matter. I played with a live one too at a store. It stunk compared to a real one that someone actually bought and let me play with. I don't know why, but the difference in experience was night and day. Maybe someone can explain why, but the fact remains...

900 morons per day walking by messing with the settings might have something to do with it...

The BB Storm1 had the same problem. Storm had other problems too, but this was the BIG one. The store demo models were always crashing when customer's walked in to look at them because the previous 10 people walking by had opened 27 background apps and never closed them properly...

You cannot get a feel for how an advanced phone handles by playin...

What makes you say that? I had ample hands on time with the phone and I do not like the keyboard. Oh and the fact the phone charges with the power on!!
