Storm or Tour

KCMO816

I'm eligible for my upgrade and want to take advantage of the buy one get one free. My wife wants the curve, but I can't decide whether to go with the tour or the storm (especially now that it has a software update.) Please help!

It really doesn't matter. I'm ok with either.

Really, most people feel strongly one way or the other. 😕
Like I can type way faster on an actual keyboard rather than a touch screen. But having used both and aside from the Storm 2, the Tour had better call quality.

The only real differences between the two are wifi and the keyboard.

If you need/want wifi, go Storm. If wifi is a non issue for you I might go Tour. I have used both the Tour and the original storm extensively. The storm drove me nuts!! there was a lot I liked about it, but way to many issues to be a daily driver so to speak. I went with the tour in July and the full keyboard made my life a lot easier.

and DO NOT LET YOUR WIFE GET AN 8330. That phone is being replaced in a month with the 8530 (which does have wifi...also known as the curve 2). The 8330 is almost 2 years old and is definitely at the end of its life cycle. You don't want to be in technology that old.

Chris,

Thanks for the heads up on the curve. We just wanted to do something before the buy one get one free deal expired. Is the storm better then, with the latest software update?

yes, with the current update the original storm is much better.

If you want a full keyboard and want to take advantage of the BOGO on the berries. I would suggest getting the BB Tour. That is my personal device right now and I love it. Its a Blackberry that will be productive for 2 years, where as the curve is barely equipped to handle some of the current applications.

I always tell people to get the most up to date available, especially if you can take advantage of the BOGO. I would go storm 2 and tour if one of you wants a full touchscreen.

Hi Chris,

Sorry to chime in on your response to KCM0816, but can you clarify that you mean the Tour is better than the Curve 2 when it comes out? I too am looking to upgrade from my current Curve and was waiting for the Curve 2 to launch.

Thanks and again sorry for party crashing 🤭

Storm 2 for 179.99. It will be out Wed. It will have a better screen and WiFi.
