Why is Android better than WM6.5 or 7.0?
I would think WM6.5 should be much more developed and stable.

You should get back on the boat and shovel off to whatever dream-world you just sallied in from.
I'll never again by a Microsoft product that has been on the shelf less the 12 months, desktop or handheld. They are absolute garbage because they're trying to make proprietary software that can function on dozens of hardware platforms.

With their main systems having so many flaws what makes you think mobile would be any better. I tried 1 windows phone, and I'll never go back again.
There are some wonderful scripts out there on the internet (search TinyXP) that you can use with a program called nLite. It shrinks down the original Windows XP, removes optional items that MOST people don't need and makes it 100x more efficient.
Sorry, but the only other OS you can customize that much is Linux, and to the average person it's not easy to use.
I have Linux on my main Laptop, but then again I know how to program their code. Linux is way more stable then Windows. So you are right that Linux isn't user friendly if you don't know the programming for it.
Microsoft has too many vulnerabilities. Windows 7 just came out, I promise you they'll have 15 updates by the end of 30days.
They'll be on SP1 in 2 months, SP2 in 7, and SP3 by next year. They are known for it.
Which is why I get nervous about they mobile OS.
So I agree with you to a degree.

If I want to have a panel of icons just for lolcat quotes, or sound files of Mr.T sayings, or Verizon fanboy web sites, I could. If I don't like my operating system, I'm sure someone else has come up with something that looks and works better that I can load on my phone. With Android, I can make my phone look like whatever I want, and do just about anything, regardless of my carrier. That's the real hook - Verizon isn't locking anything down here. Verizon is trying to embrac
