Let me get this straight-- you would like to assign the 6000 to the new phone # then assign the 8000 to one of your existing lines.

First, the new 8000 must 1st be activated to the new phone #. To swap out the esns, it would be easier to do it over the phone w/ customer service.

However, if you insist on doing it online, then you must 1st do an esn change to a phone that you don't have active (to ultimately release the esn that was active). Then you can do the swapping. Esn changing online does not allow one to do an esn change to an esn thats already active on another phone #.

Calling customer service would be the easiest way to accomplish this task. 18009220204 or *611.

Do this via the customer service line, call them from a land based phone as the cell phones must be turned off to effect this change. CS phone number is (800) 922-0204.
