Hello!

Given the choice between Parrot, mrHandsfree, or Motorola, which would you recommend for best compatibility with a Verizon XV6800 phone?

I have Googled until my brain is oozing.

I have looked at these units so far:
Nokia CK-7W
Parrot CK3000 Evolution
Motorola IHF1000, T605
mrHandsfree Blue Compact Pro and Blue Smart

I want a kit that integrates with the stereo in my truck (2002 Ford Exploder).

I am looking for anyone who has any of these models working well for them.

Thank you.

i have the 605, the problem I run into is the FM is not strong enough and I find myself searching for upen radio channels for it all the time. Got to the point I don't even use it in the buy. In all honesty I would have been better off buying a new headunit with a 3.5 in and just used a cable

Thank you for the information on the T605.

I emailed Parrot last night asking if the CK 3000 Evolution can do speaker-independent voice dialing. If it can't, that rules out that kit.

My XV6800 has VoiceCommand added.

I have usead a Parrot CK 3200 for about 3 years and have also tried the rest. In my opinion there is not much better than Parrot.

My only real concern with the CK 3000 Evolution is that it may NOT do voice-independent dialing by name or number. I'm going to download the manual, but I thought I read that it requires recording voice tags first. That would SUCK!!!

I just got Parrot's reply.

"Sorry the delay of my answer. Microsoft voice recognition system doesn’t transmit well over Bluetooth through the Parrot car-kits.

We would recommend in this situation to transfer contacts via OPP (Object Push Profile) to record voice tags."

Unbelievable! It looks as though I may just get a Nokia CK-7W like my wife has in her truck.

What do you mean by the FM problem? Is that when you are using the kit with the phone to hear audio over the vehicle's speakers?

From looking at the manual, it looks as though the 6-pin connector provides a direct link to the vehicle's audio for phone calls. Is that not the case?

I bought a T605 and ordered this adapter http://www.discountcarstereo.com/detail.aspx? ID=920 that should give me what I need.

The T605 is the kit certified by VZW to work with a lot of their phones, mine included.

We shall see!

In case anyone is interested, here is an update,

I installed the Motorola T605 bought from VZW and it works fairly well with my XV6800 with added MS Voice Command. I get sound through four speakers, and the people I call say it sounds good. They do not hear any echo from either side. Sure beats a BT headset!

Sometimes it will not pass the notification sound to the radio, sometimes it will. I am referring to the little sound it makes when voice dialing...it goes bleep, then I speak, then it asks for acknowledgement. Sometimes it won't give the sound, nor will it give the announcement. If I am looking at the phone (dash-mounted holder), I see the notification icon and can speak my desired phone # or caller name, and it will bring up the ...
