😉

Any luck? Basically, you're looking to do what vzwinagent was mentioning about the email.

Also, I DO like Facebook app reading my gmails, but was bugged that I'd always have to log in on a computer to clear out those emails in Gmail. Last week I noticed you can change that on the Facebook app so it will mark the email on Gmail's side as read. Much better now.

i have upper case. ...let me paint a more clear picture because it seems a lot of people have had issues with this and it is really starting to get on my nerves. Also it may be a Facebook thing so im not trying to blame the phone all the way. ..and im sure there may be some user error as well.

I originally had my gmail acct linked to my blackberry. this is the email acct that would normally get my noti's from facebook, i downloaded the facebook app, everything worked fine..i got the "red star" on my facebook app icon when someone left me a comment and all that jazz and it would all be listed in the "notification" portion of the facebook app...here is where it went bad. I didn't like the way linking gmail to my blackberry would send out a...

you have to have your gmail account registered on your tour through the "email settings". you can turn off the alerts for that email account if you just want to use the gmail app. but it has to be attached to the bberry to get updates through the facebook app. i suggest removing the facebook app, re-setting up the email account through your bberry, then redownloading the facebook app.

That is probably the best, quickest way to get that done.

That's why it's not working. The facebook app uses the blackberry email application. When the email comes in to the blackberry notifying you of a new facebook message, the facebook app steals that message and alerts you. I'm sure the facebook app isn't capable of monitoring the gmail app so it no longer sees the emails coming in to your blackberry.

see i was afraid that is what the problem was. That sux because the gmail app is alot better for me, me and my friends have a daily email train on Gmail and its been known to hit anywere from 100 to 300 emails in one day with everyone replying back and forth. that will drive the blackberry gmail crazy ..because it wont link them all in one like gmail does...geez...what to do what to do..oh well i have time to think about it. I leave for South Korea tomorrow and wont be doing any data apps while im there, just using the phone for few calls.

You want the gmail app to keep up with your friends.

You want facebook notifications.

Why not just change the email your facebook notifications are going to, then just set that email address up on your Tour?

Best of both worlds!

Haha... very good idea. Why didn't the rest of us think of that! You could even just direct the facebook notificaions to your bb email address if you have one of those. Or just create a new gmail or hotmail or something and use it just for that and set it up on the BB through the regular BB email. Gosh, you're smart! lol
