Enough is enough with my DARE phone!

This phone works great except for the touch screen. Whenever I text or anyother time I have to touch the screen I have to it several times before it will take. And please don't tell me I have to calibrate it.
I only sign one year contracts with Verizon, yes it cost more, but if for reason the quality goes away with their service, I am not stuck in a 2 year contract.
I have had this phone for 7 months and I am done with ALL touch screens.
I do miss quality phones with qwerty boards, at least when you hit a button you'll know you made contact with it right away.
Does anyone know if Verizon will be coming out with any new phones in the next 6 months that can do what the DARE does but with a qwerty board? Please don't tell...

I have had my dare since Aug 08, with no problems. Do you know if you have the current software on your phone? And have you checked out by a technican after you calibrated the screen?

Has your Dare been doing that all along, or did it just recently start? I ask because I got a Dare about two weeks ago and (so far) I love it. It's been very responsive and just plain works well. I even have the entire phone covered with a Zagg InvisibleShield which I though that might make the touch screen less responsive but it hasn't.

The Env2 is less than a year old. The Glyde is a phone that should never be sold. The voyager just went through a refresh less than 6 months ago.

More than likely, there will be a new qwerty phone out by then. There is supposedly a New LG coming out soon that has swappable keyboards. I can't remember the name off hand. There is a new touch screen (the versa) coming out as well.

lol @ "my phone works great except for the touchscreen"

not exactly a glowing endorsement for a phone that is based on a touch interface.

Definitely something wrong with your phone. We have three in this household and they have all functioned perfectly from day one.
