Okay, I'm just curious, how Verizon's "month to month" plans work? Its not like Verizon's Inpulse plans are they? I cant stand, getting the prepaid cards, I find it annoying, so can someone tell me how they work, is it kinda like AT&T's Pick your Plan deal, where they take it out of your bank account each month? Let me know, I'm thinking about going to Verizon, but I need to know, I want the Month to Month plan, and can I have unlimited messaging feature?

you could buy a phone on ebay or for retail and then get any postpay plan without a contract, like the 450 min select plan which is 59.99 a month and includes 450 mins, unl n/w, unl mobile to mobile, and unlimited txt/pix/flix/im messaging.

Are you able to do this online as well. What I see is that you have to buy a phone for retail price with month to month activations online.

The difference is the phone. Buy one from Verizon, you pay the full retail price (the highest price - the one without subsidy discounts for signing a contract), or use existing equipment that works on the Verizon network.

Month-to-Month is for the person with good credit who wants to keep their options open by not signing a contract. Inpulse is for people who are...

Very much so. They're extending the same type of service as the contracted plans, so they run the same application.

Keep in mind, there are people out there who abuse the industry and rack up about three months worth of services and (quite often) equipment billed to their account before skipping out.

Prepay is different - minimal loss on the phone to the company (which they would have incurred anyway), and the customer paid for service in advance. Since postpay is a system based partially on trust, they still run a credit check.
